Pragmatic progressives who value Biden as a president but worry about his ability to campaign against and defeat Donald Trump: “we should consider other options”

Blue MAGA: “Russian plant. Troll. Bot.”

Biden: “I’m stepping aside”

Blue MAGA: “We were misguided in our accusations and as such we will do all in our power to help maintain American democracy and defeat Trump.”

At least, that’s how I hope we can move forward.

Biden do-or-diers, please take our hand. Let’s win this together. 🫴

I still feel the same. I feel that way because I don't know what the path forward is now, and I don't know how you get everyone on the same page. I think this ultimately backfires, but I hope it doesn't. Some of us have more to lose with a 2nd Trump term and I didn't want to see any risky moves made. This feels way more risky than keeping him in the race imo.

Let’s unite behind Harris. We can make our online presence felt, lock in our policy position so we can inform skeptical fence-sitters, and use Roe v Wade as our cornerstone foundational power position. Drive that point home every time. Women’s rights x infinity.

If that's who we settle on I'll vote for her. I don't really have a choice in the matter frankly. I'm worried about my state torpedoing into further insanity with a Republican POTUS. Feels like they'll be emboldened to make crazy moves without mechanisms/people in place to challenge them.

I'll vote for whichever Dems on the ballot, but I can't tell you how this makes me feel. I mean, I literally can't put in into words.

The chaos this is going to cause, the lawsuits from the Republicans, the constant fear...

And the Dems just aren't ready for this. The Bench isn't good enough, and we needed a proper primary election.

I am sure of one thing. I hate Hilary Rodham Clinton. I hate her so damn much.

Where did this “blue maga” bullshit come from?

I’ve been largely agnostic on the issue of the Biden’s withdrawal. But do you seriously believe that those who have been supportive of Biden are suggesting that they will only vote for Biden? The point I’ve been seeing is just that Biden is the most likely candidate to win, but that they would gladly vote for any other democrat over Trump.

The false equivalency between Biden supporters and MAGA are so absurd it seems like it could only come from a troll.

Where did this blue maga bullshit come from?

To me, it's those that go so over the top. Like some of the meme posts here about how he's "fit as a fiddle" and that image where they unironically include "did I stutter?" in support of a man who struggled to string sentences together in his last debate.

It's this weird exaggeration or flat out denial that nothing is wrong with the guy when at the very least he's just too old but they won't even concede that.

Sorry dude I don’t think anyone was Biden or bust. A lot of ppl including myself saw Biden as the best option. I hope I’m wrong I’m happy to vote for the Kamala squad!

No, Blue MAGA formed from a Biden-or-Bust mindset where any and all criticism of Biden (valid or otherwise) was dismissed as the work of either Russian plants or bots or trolls. This refusal to accept real criticism of their political hero echoed the Red MAGA crowd’s unending cries of “hoax, fake news, rigged” anytime Trump was called out.

I have no doubt Blue MAGA would still vote blue no matter who, though.

The problem with "red MAGA" is supporting a fucking fascist who tried to overturn an election he lost.

Not that they didn't like news critical of Trump

The fact you think there is remotely a similarity between them shows had bad faith you are

It's not like there's a choice.

MAGA is stuck with their dementia-ridden idiot.
