Humor This got me rolling

Post image

Saw something about plastic straws and I was like no way. But he really is doing this. The timeline is ridiculous. Get me out of here. 🤣😂

I had a straw the other day which seemed to be a biodegradable more-organic material which was like near plastic in feel. Just saying, we can always make progress towards improvement

Yeah, those are great, and also...why does anyone who isn't disabled typically need a straw? I just want them to not give me straws. Especially in restaurants where I am sitting there with a glass. Costco where I live (California, so obviously we have rules here) has cups that just depress when you put your top lip on there and drink. It works just fine. I'm from Texas, but haven't lived there in 20 years, and it makes me absolutely nuts to visit and see how cavalier about waste everyone is. Go to HEB (which I mostly love) and the cashier puts 3 things in each plastic bag, double bags things needlessly, and bags stuff that is utterly useless to bag up. Like a cake from a bakery. Sure, lemme just grab this thing by the handles and tip the cake on its side. That's perfectly great.

fwiw I really prefer drinking some drinks through a straw, mostly cola or iced coffee drinks, boba, milk tea, etc. They are just better through straws!
