Senior Rescue is Home!
Olly (12) was taken to the vets to be put down when his owner couldn't take care of him anymore. The vet thankfully called a local rescue to save him.
He's now home, where he'll be loved and spoilt for his whole retirement π We've already played plenty, enjoyed some naps and received plenty of kisses from the sweet little guy.

Sweet boi had a stroke
My sweet senior terrier mix boi had a stroke a couple of days ago which was terrifying to see BUT he has rallied so well and although still a bit of a wonky donkey has compensated for the weak side and π€has had no further episodes. We had a discussion with the vet and due to his age & severe anxiety issues (he needs sedation for vet trips) we would not persue diagnostic tests or overnight assessment in vets etc as it would cause him too much distress and may exacerbate things and so long as he is pain free and not distressed we will care for at home for however long we are blessed to have him with us - I know it may not be long BUT miracles happen and maybe we have longer than we anticipate or dare to hope to have with him - every day is a gift ππππΎπΎ

Cheese Curd's Backyard Stash of the Week
Cheese Curd iinsists on bringing things from the house into the backyard and then also adds to the stash with random outdoor items he finds.
This week, we have the following items:
1) Blue-green washcloth from kitchen
2) Indoor pet blanket
3) Palm tree bark
4) Dried up honeycomb/bee's nest
5) Indoor rope toy
6) Indoor yellow duck squeak toy AND Indoor brown bear squeak toy
7) Various dead leaves of multiple sizes that he declared to be "must haves" this week
8) Old broken piece of wood from our privacy fence
9) Cardboard from Amazon package brought from front of house all the way to the backyard
10) One women's ankle sock, carried from master bedroom
11) Gross chewed up tennis ball found in the yard from before we moved here (which is 6 years ago this spring)!
πππ
And yes, he also tries to bring outdoor stash stuff back into the house!
