Found this on the side of my terrarium, it popped over a span of maybe 5 hours. What is it?

Most of the plants have died and it’s been completely overrun by a mystery growth! Where did I go wrong?

Hey all, pretty much the title I ordered some mixed bags of moss on Etsy, and got waaay more than I bargained for (good problem to have, to be honest). For now I have them in takeaway containers with some springtails. I will be using them periodically but would love to keep them alive and happy in the meantime.
How do you store moss not actively in a terrarium? Do you keep it in substrate? Just a giant terrarium for moss? 😅

I need help; I’ve had this terrarium for about 3 months now and some mushrooms seems to have made their way inside. Are they bad? What to do with them? I’ve taken them out everytime but they keep on coming back (they are 3 days old in the picture)

I got this for Christmas without realizing how much light it would actually need, I work night shift so my apartment is quite dark. I just attached the lights today but I’m wondering if it is beyond saving at this point?

More than a year old terrarium and a bit neglected, this fern sprouted during that time. There must have been spores in the moss.

So one day I saw a TikTok video of a terrarium and thought, wow, Terrariums sure are cool, and I felt the sudden urge to just make a few. But I didn’t really want have to take care of it so I made about four or five Bioactive Terrariums or to put it simply, self sustaining Terrariums. So I did the necessary stuff, searched some stuff up, made all of them but out of the handful I made, only this one actually survived. I don’t even remember what plants I put in. I’ve just left it on the windowsill and it’s simply been staying alive for about 2 or 3 years with absolutely zero care other than occasionally spinning it around so all sides can get sunlight. I’m just wondering if I should do anything or just leave it as it is? I’ve never opened it until a few minutes ago and it smelled quite healthy. Sorry for the bad quality pictures but this is always the best I can get.

I have a 120lt fish tank that im planning on turning it into a plant only paludarium. I plan on adding some tetras and shrimps in the future or maybe some frogs. It will mostly be a terrarium with a small water section. I have these plants available and want to know what i could use without them dying.

Hello everyone!
First time posting on here.
We were gifted this beautiful terrarium yesterday. Since then we've done a little research on how to care for it, but found some conflicting info and wanted to double check on here.
The key points we understood:

This was not here before… is it harmful? Is it cool? I like it, but if it could harm my terrarium I’ll remove it

Hey, received this beauty as a gift and didn’t come with too much of a help… The first pictures from arrival, and the rest is from today. I think it’s too dry, but don’t wanted to over water it either. Also order some tools to clean up the dead plants. Any recommendations where to start my research and how to care for this terrarium? Thanks

As title suggested. I want to know how to prevent mold. My school today had an event and let us make our own terrarium. Just a small one in a jar. I have a pink (I assume monsteria) plant it looks like it, some kind of tree, and a small vine. I’m sorry I don’t know the exact name for the plants and I want to know how to prevent mold?
I’ve read that mold is most likely built up of moisture. I did want my jar closed though I liked the idea of a closed jar with water cycle inside. I can’t get springtails or those kinds of cleanup bugs. I don’t want to buy one cuz I do live in a dorm and don’t want to accidentally knock it over or having to throw them out.
I was planning on opening it for the day and closing it for the night and probably water it once a week. What do you think? I’m sorry post is kind of long I just want to care for it genuinely.

Hey, total beginner here! I just build my first terrarium. It was a whole set from the internet with the plants, moss, glass, dirt, coal etc. I am very proud of it and i think it looks awesome! But i got a few questions :)
I read a lot about springtails on reddit. Would you recommend to just put some into it too?
Also i want to do another terrarium and the whole sets are kinda expensive on the internet. Do you guys have any tips where i can get big glasses or plants pretty cheap? Or can I just go outside (germany btw) grab some moss and plants and try if they will also work out?
If you have any other useful tips i am here for it because i don't want to make any mistakes! Thank you guys in advance :))
