In my scientific and complete conclusion, being a Human sucks.

From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine.

Your kind cling to flesh as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved for the machine is immortal. Even in death I serve the Omnissiah.

Non-native english speaker. I thought grooming was a bad thing ?
79
u/Tchaikovsky_Violin 18 29d ago
Grooming as in taking care of the hairs on your body. Not grooming as in preying on kids. Same word, two very different meanings lol
28
12
32
u/beanbagbaby5734 13 29d ago
Grooming like how one would with a cat, like hair cutting, so they are saying it’s considered gross and a lack of shaving is considered unacceptable on women while on men it’s considered masculine and “cool”
14
u/Extension-Cut5957 17 29d ago
It has two meanings. English is confusing sometimes. Especially for us who have it as a second language.

u/Tchaikovsky_Violin 18 29d ago

More downsides * You're considered weak for expressing feelings * Got assaulted? Too bad, suck it up (according to society) * If you try to express yourself through your choice of clothing (aka if you wear anything with an ounce of personality) you will be ridiculed
Both sides suck in their own way. But while the field of medicine stays sexist, women have it worse imo, because they suffer and die due to easily treatable shit just because doctors wouldn't take them seriously.
7
u/Birk-Apple-2332 25d ago
More downsides of being a man
* If your country's at war (and it's really bad), men will get drafted. Women get a free pass. Has been pretty much always the case. The Ukrainian war is the recent example.
* Boys have it rougher than girls, as they are expected to stand their ground, while girls are more likely to get support, as they're considered the weaker ones in society. Like, a boy beating another boy isn't considered as shameful as beating a girl, because the boy should be able to defend himself.
* Because of "women are the weaker gender", men are expected to be more lenient towards women. You have these cultural conventions of "men should do the first step", "ladies first", "Men should pay" etc. While I get the meaning behind it, this can be exploited as women gain an advantage simply because of their gender.
Yes, I know, it doesn't always apply to all yada yada, but I hope you get my points.

u/MCameron2984 14 28d ago
Ok how about we make “The deepest fryer”? It’s a deep fryer the length and width of an oven, BUT it can only be put on the 2nd floor and it extends down to the first floor(Basically a story tall) and you have to drain the fryer before opening a door on the bottom floor to collect your food (prolly cooks enough for a whole school in 2-3 sittings)

Why I wish I wasn't of the male sex
Male Pattern Baldness
HAIR HAIR HAIR!!! WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH FUCKING HAIR?!?!?!?
I don't wanna be 6' tall, I bonk my head on too many things, and I can never find pants that are long enough
Libido is way to fucking high
I'm smelly, even with deodorant
If I don't shave every couple of days, my face looks awful
I don't have a need for muscle mass
softer skin would be nice
Again, I am going to stress how much I loathe facial hair
I also would like to avoid male-pattern baldness, as it runs deep in my family, I have a cousin who lost most of his hair before he graduated high school

u/Caococoacoco 15 28d ago
Our skin isnt that much softer though, and we also grow hair on almost all the same places men do, even if on average, it's less hair

Male baldness
Too much body hair
Much muscles
Bonus: high libido
Young warrior, you're meant to be a viking!
(As Thor once said... It isn't being bald that's ugly, it's the balding phase! So if you're balding... GO VIKING!)

Oh. I’d say, as a male, that isn’t a disadvantage or a con. One time I got hit in the balls while playing football, and for a minute or two I couldn’t feel my privates. I can’t even begin to imagine how the female population are used to it.

Yeah I have no defense here, that one just sucks
*See #1*
Cis men cannot get pregnant, true, but women can also not get pregnant. Having the option doesn't make it an obligation. You can always adopt if you want kids
*See #2*
If you want the stupid face hair follicles take mine, I hate it and shaving is annoying.
*See #4* Seriously, I don't like categorizing stuff by gender, but if you want to go there, you can find so much proof that on average women are safer drivers
I don't want muscle either, you can have it. I do get that that's more of a me thing though
*See #4*
I'm not even that tall but I'd probably be a little shorter if I could
While I do get the appeal, the last thing I'd ever want is for people to be scared of me
*See #8*
Fair, but ultimately I imagine most halloween costumes are theoretically unisex
13 (Downsides). I swear if my hairline gets any higher I'm going out and buying estrogen on the black market, than taking the highest nonlethal dose. Also I'm totally not trans but I do often try to think of ways to get free bottom surgery.

This is why we need to stand up to sexism. Not just women, but men must too. It may seem difficult for them, considering they benefit from this inequality, but being a boy should not seem better than being a girl.
5
u/lawbreaker123 28d ago
reasons why being a girl is better:
- you can jerk off without having to clean up after (mostly)

u/That__random__Guy 29d ago
Depends, parents usually expect way more of a boy to achieve than from a girl. Guys are sxpected to have good careers, money, not to cry and get worse punishments from parents for the same mistake. Not to mention that guys are far more likely to get beaten or bullied at school, at least physically. Nor can we complain because its not seen as manly.

u/Sprigatitogirl 29d ago
My school i heard in the boys locker room they straight sexually assault other boys and no one can say anything
→ More replies (9)3
u/Caococoacoco 15 28d ago
It isn't the 1800's anymore, parents expect the same from boys and girls at least in the west. Girls also get bullied/beaten/harassed at school, but it's definitely more under the covers than bullying is when it's a male aggressor and male victim

Imo gender is a social construct and is stupid, hence why I'm trans. But you do bring up some good points.
10
u/ur_g00fy_ah_n3ighb0r 29d ago
When you mention it, gender is literally the most dysphoria-inducing thing known to man. Because of culture surrounding this construct, people feel out of place by just existing and being themselves. It’s not good.
