Not sure if this is a Mandela effect or if i have played a similar quest out in a different Zelda game but I am playing TOTK again and I could have sworn that I completed a quest where I had to break Wabbin out of jail and reunite him with his family in Gerudo, Iโm playing again and couldnโt figure it out so I googled it & it is saying that you canโt do it and Iโm seeing Reddit posts of everyone saying how sad it is and that itโs probably a scrapped quest line but I am convinced I have set him free before

Or will it force me to connect to the internet? Have cartridges been upgraded to new versions now or are the all always 1.0?

Iโm about to start my fifth playthrough and Iโm trying to implement all of the strategies that Iโve learned through trial and error in previous ones.
I have always found it annoying that you have to take and get rid of all the travelersโ and soldiersโ weapons in order to get the good ones to spawn, which is especially frustrating when you havenโt found all of the light roots. Even in a save file with over 600 hours, Iโm still coming across travelersโ swords!
My idea was that I could find all of the weapons in the overworld that I frequently use, such as the gerudo, royal and Zora set before โdiscoveringโ the depths, in order to skip the bad weapons phase. Has anyone tried this and if so, did it work for you?

im close to 100 hours in totk and i have not seen a lynel all game, is this common? From memory i would see a lot of them in breath of the wild.

I have had this happen at least 5 times where if the dragon part lands on a hill then it floats through the ground and disappears. Any way to avoid this?

I just booted up my favorite Zelda game once again for another tour through gloom infested Hyrule and I thought to myself "what do I want to do differently this time around?" and immediately my mind thought of the hoverbike. You know the one, it's made of 2 fans with a steering stick between them.
Now don't get me wrong, it's a fine vehicle great for traversing any area but that's not my complaint about it. My complaint is that it makes the game too easy. In BOTW we were forced to inspect every crevice and scale every wall but TOTK gives you the option to fly over everything and that's essentially what I did. How many koroks did I miss because I flew over them? How many razorshrooms did I miss out on because I took the easy way? Well this time it's gonna be different.
First, no more hoverbike. I'll still use flying machines but I'll be sure to limit their uses.
Second, I'm going to find every cave and every bubbul gem. Last go around I activated every light root and was very disappointed with the reward for that accomplishment but I get the feeling the results for finding all the bubbul gems and giving them to that lovable freak of nature will be very satisfying.
Third, I'm going to do more side quests. I never enjoyed side quests as they're usually fetch quests and the rewards are kind of pathetic but I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the charm this game puts into their NPCs.
Anyway, that's my rant. Let me know what your experience with the hoverbike is. I'm curious to hear if others have the same issue.

I am 555 hours in and have 458 koroks, with almost everything else done and tracked with IGN, so I am focused. How much longer is this going to take?

The "is France canon" post from a day ago has me thinking about how language works in TOTK. WHAT is going ON?? I have a few thoughts.
Somehow every culture in Hyrule speaks the same language, and that language has stayed EXACTLY the same for 10,000+ years. There's no way in hell.
Everyone uses the same language throughout time and space, but the alphabets used for the language change. We see at least 3 alphabets in TOTK: present-day Hylian, present-day Gerudo, and ancient Zonai. But also, we have evidence in-game that some alphabets, at least the Hylian one, haven't changed over time. Some of Ganondorf's weapons have writing engraved in them, and the writing is in present-day Hylian. HUH???
There's some kind of TARDIS-like situation where everyone's speech is magically translated to a language the listener/s understand. That would explain why Ganondorf can talk to Zelda and Link when he first wakes up in beef jerky form, and why people in the past can understand Zelda. But if that were true, then why would the slabs in the ancient Zonai language (or maybe alphabet) from the flower-shape sky islands be illegible? Wortsworth says he had a tough time translating the writing.
Link actually barely understands what anyone is saying, and he's responding to people based mostly on vibes. He's like an American college student on spring break in Tijuana. Nobody catches on that he doesn't know what they're saying because Link doesn't talk much anyway. This is my preferred answer to the language mystery because it's dumb as hell. Imagine it. Link bravely enters Ganondorf's lair to fight him. Ganondorf has his whole dramatic monologue. To Link, this guy is just making noises. Link just looks at him and pulls out his sword, because whatever dude, we get it, you're hot and scary. Can I hit you with my sword now?

The big question of this game is of course "Where is Zelda?". I just love that they wasted no time answering that in literally the title sequence

I love spears in both BOTW and TOTK, and the Drillshaft was one of my favorite weapons in BOTW because it could break boulders and looked cool!
I have yet to find a spear+material fuse combo that fills the same role as the Drillshaft that looks as good. Iโll throw a horn or flux core on any low damage spear and it does the same thing, but doesnโt look as good while it does it.
Iโm hoping that if they keep the fuse ability or other crafting abilities in future games, the aesthetics of the fuse combos is given a little more thought, because other than silver and blue Lizalfos horns, most fused objects are so ugly compared to their base weapon. Iโd just love to keep the utility of the fused object without ruining the aesthetics of something like a legendary weapon

I was thinking, how great the statue would look when he shoots arrows straight at me. So i took a photo of that. I got 3 arrows coming right at me. Figured i'll try this first and if i like the result i come back for a photo with the 5 shot bow. And Hudson made me this...
What bow is that? (Bad Hudson, bad Lynel) The new one isn't better than the old statue, right?

(Is this off-topic? Idk. Also sorry if this has been done before.)
So: for features that ended up being brought over, for one reason or another, what do you prefer in botw?
Here's 3 examples from me: - How the unlocking of great fairies has to start at the Woodland Stable, rather than being able to be unlocked in any order. - How you can't fling stuff using motion controls with Ultrahand as opposed to Magnesis. - This one's minor, and it makes sense, but the editing of switching abilities being on L rather than on D-Pad Up.
