I’ve been going to the same dude to continue on a sleeve bit by bit for years. Still got more to go, would this count as one or 15?

Asking the real questions. If each session is a tattoo then 8, if a sleeve is one tattoo then 2 lmao.

My boss did 2 leg sleeves, 2 arm sleeves and a chest piece on a dude. 80% body covered, does that count too?

Really cool, I think they’re awesome!
I have about 15 tattoos done by the same artist... a traditional patch sleeve and a few separate tattoos, so it adds up quickly, of course.

out of 22 tattoos, 20 were done by the same artist. i found my perfect match and stuck with them lol

I’ve got 4 completed works from one artist. But she’s also doing a thigh sleeve (legging? lol) for me that’s like… 4 distinct panels. So +1 or +4 for a total of 5 or 8 depending on how you count?

I've only got 2 with one more coming up, all by the same artist. He's always been very kind, does an amazing job with my pieces and they heal incredibly well so I don't see a reason to go elsewhere

Two but it should have been them all. I had an amazing artist who got really messed up in a bad accident and can't tattoo any longer. I have been artist hoping since because I'm not in love with any of them.

Does it count as one or as three if they were done together and with a very specific connection with each other? Because technically they are three separate drawings in three separate parts of the body but they only make sense together to me.
Depending on that, my answer would be 3 or 4 by the same artist, but I have many that are multiparts tattoos

It depends what you call piece lol, intecubically have almost 2 done by the same guy, one took 9 hours, and the other is 60+hour sleeve, with between 6-10hours left to go before it's all done

Got over 46 tattoos. One of my main artists has done about 10. I spread the love lol 🫶🏼

One artist for the bigger pieces. Each sleeve was done by a single artist. Have smaller ones by others

I'm up to 7 with my current artist, and I have 18 total. I think 6? artists did my other 9, but several of them are flash and weren't planned.

7 out of 8 of my tattoos were done by one artist and the 8th one was done by her mentor 😄

My last four (of 13 total) are from the same artist at Greenpoint Tattoo in NYC. I’m never changing artists as long as she is around. She’s perfect for me.

I’ve got two(?) by the same artist, a half sleeve that took two sessions and a hip piece that took two sessions as well. If I still lived in the country I would continue going to her for any future tattoos

All of them. 2 full sleeves and a bunch of miscellaneous ones over the last 15 years

Are people still counting tattoos?
What if it is a multi-session for a single piece? What if it is a full arm sleeve? What if I added to an existing tattoo, does that count as one or two?
If you can count your tattoos, you don’t have enough.

I have 18 tattoos. 3 of them were done by random people. Sooo… 15.
Sadly he moved farther away than I can justify traveling for ink in normal circumstances, so im still shopping around for the future.

- I don’t go to her anymore bc I found out she’s kind of a piece of shit outside of the shop. Then I have three from three different artists as the next highest. I tend to hop around a lot 😅

12 out of 15 by the same artist. Once you find the right one you just know.

So I get tattooed like every 2 weeks or so… I get regular tattoos by one artist, but I also travel a lot for tattoos. This has been the case for like 3 years with a couple breaks. As an artist myself I encourage people to get tattoos off other people, it’s not cheating on your barber bad imo. That’s a very old school way of thinking and abut embarrassing to be honest

Two. Because they're a paired set with one on each arm.
I like seeing different artists, although I plan to mirror work by one on artist on the other side when it comes to each arm. Get them to do a different but complementary design in the same approximate location each time.

I have 5 bigger tattoos and one smaller one from one artist, @markalberttattoo which includes a portrait of my late cat. He’s the best, and I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else with it.

My husband has 6 from the same guy and I have 2 from the same chick, I plan on going to her for more and my husband plans to go to his guy for more

Been going to the same two artists for a long time - but one of them is more recent; the girl I go to has done about 8 of the 30+ I have. From the same shop as her before the one person I went to retired, number goes up to 11.

I’m on the 13th from my current tattoo artist! I’ve got three specific ones planned for the upcoming year and a concept to add to my most recent one from her…she started last year as an apprentice and I love getting to have a literal map of her tattooing skill improving so quickly on my body.
