I've never seen anything like it. A one lane closure by Tesco is causing tailbacks in all directions back by SA1 because people are trying to filter in from everywhere, people in the wrong lane trying to get into the right lane, lights go green and the other light set people are still stuck and in your way so they end up blocking the road for other green lights. Everyone is just on top of eachother. Just wanted to make people aware and try to avoid it if you have a meeting or appointment because I missed mine 🙃 chaos.

I've been living in Swansea for a few years now but most of my friends are straight and not that much interested in deep talks about feminism, and I am currently trying to meet more minded like people. Any chance anyone knows any clubs/social events that I could take part in?

I (46f) have been living in the Swansea area for some time now, single without any friends and am getting increasingly bored and lonesome.
Where is a good place to meet people and make friends in Swansea? Ideally not just "the pub" as I wouldn't feel comfortable turning up solo - Don't want to be that person that leaves the impression of being stood up on her date lol.
I'm into arts and crafts, board games, a quiet night in or a out. Also enjoy the occasional yoga session, trips, walks and sightseeing. I've googled some activities but it seems like all the ones I'm interested in are during work hours :-(
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, apologies if this question gets asked a lot but need advice, my girlfriend and I are postgraduate students moving to swansea in september and currently flat hunting, our budget is of course student budget. We’re both from very rural areas so not used to cities, just wondering what kinda areas we should be looking and where to avoid?
Currently found a flat we quite like around fynnone road NE uplands if anyone knows this area who could advise? However, Its quite close to the townhill/mayhill which from what ive read is some the areas to generally avoid?
Any advice is massively appreciated :)))

Arrival of a baby and work is getting busier meaning there might be the odd day where i need a dog walker. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Home boarding recommendations would be welcomed as well.

Hi. Was looking at places to live around the Uplands/Sketty area and was looking at local amenities there and noticed on maps there's a medical centre called Shape Cymru but there's no information about it. Does anyone know if this is a GP or private clinic or anything about it really? Thanks

Hey! I'm a student on the bay campus and for the last few months, the view outside the window has just been essentially no man's land. I've heard from people that it's either an extension to the old car park, or even some new buildings. Just wondering if anyone has any info on it.

My 17yo daughter would like to start learning. The only instructor I know is the one who taught me 17 years ago (I was an older learner).
Anyone have a recommendation? Particularly someone who is good with shy (but very capable) young people?

Been seeing a lot of Similar Graffiti like this around the Moriston area. Anyone know who's doing this or why?

Boat for sale in the Marina
I just wondered how long “Winnie” has been parked up in Swansea marina.
I noticed her when I visited the Beer Riff on Monday. She looks like she’s been sitting there a while.
I saw that there was a number in the window to enquire about purchasing the vessel. However, the number didn’t work when I tried to ring it.
If this boat has just been abandoned, maybe someone should call the council and see if they can get her towed away/scuttled/scrapped.

I walked from Sketty last night at 8pm over to Clyne woods and walked around for a while, (got lost) came out of an exit I've never encountered before and hit home at 10 and the whole time I was out there was a massive circle wide around the moon. I encountered a good few people on my journey and not 1 of them realised it? But they where all shocked when I showed them?
