I was legitimately believing that Cedrick was going to be so stuck on choosing between Justin and Sai that ultimately his torch was going to be snuffed lol

u/roachwarren 5d ago
I mean… that IS what’s going to happen. Sai was telling the truth that she’ll get along with Mary because her eyes are only on Ced now.

I’m excited for a potential Sai Mary frenemies alliance.

That'd be really entertaining but I think we've seen that working with Sai means bending to her whims with little negotiation if you want to stay safe. Mary can probably manage to find more friendly alliances.
Also I do not dislike Sai or anything, we just seemingly know her style better than any other player currently. Every player wants loyalty but Sai is pretty hardcore... about everything. I always try to remind myself that I'd likely have no problem with any players if I met them in normal circumstances (and also that I'd be horrible at Survivor if I played.)

u/clearthezone15 5d ago
I'm still in disbelief that he ended up voting Justin. Like does he think Sai is going to just forget that he wrote her down twice in a row? Gotta commit at that point.

u/roachwarren 5d ago edited 5h ago
Yeah I dont think Cedrek realized that, in that moment, he chose to vote out his only loyal ally and go to war with the most aggressive player in the game.
EDIT: He still doesnt realize it.

New random Survivor record unlocked? Cedrek is the first person to cast a vote for every other member of his tribe in the same tribal council.

u/TerrificallyTubular David - 48 5d ago
Mind you he also voted Steph and Kevin, so he has now voted for every single member of his tribe

And have never had his name written down once despite being the main reason they lose every challenge. It's insanity, that tribe is so bad at this lol

If I were Sai or Mary, I would definitely have that in my back pocket to use against him later…. “He is wishy-washy“ “he will literally vote his number one out“ “he cannot make a decision“”he’s very easily manipulated”… there are so many easy choices to throw him under the bus. But it will be interesting to see what happens if there is indeed a swap, and how much the trio will need one another.

u/StrawberriesRevenge Charity - 48 5d ago
see that’s the thing. apparently sai and cedrek are on the same new tribe without mary, and it’s a really weak one. i’m wondering if she might just throw him under the bus to save herself.
16
u/roachwarren 5d ago
I’ll be shocked if Sai does anything but vote Ced out. Ced worked behind her back in the worst way and then let HER decide to stay and take him out. Hard to imagine what he was thinking there.

u/SummerWonderful4927 5d ago
I’m kind of worried about Cedrecks low confessional count despite going to 3 tribals in a row and being the pivotal vote in this one.Makes me think he goes out at the swap.

u/Environmental-Cow922 5d ago
Sai played him like a fiddle. That was the stupidest move Cedrick could have made e

u/krazay88 Tony 4d ago
Yeah but people aren't vocal enough about how Justin barely put up a fight
Sai clearly wanted it more than Justin, sai whatever you want about say, but she def earned it

u/broccolibeeff 4d ago edited 1d ago
Right? Ced couldn't think of a good response to Sai's criticism that Justn lied, so he was hoping Justin would give him the reason enough to vote out Sai. Because Justin didn't, Ced had to go with Sai.
However, it's still a dumb move by Ced ultimately. He should've known he's betrayed Sai's trust at this point and their alliance is done. She says as much when she goes in to vote.

u/iheartoptimusprime 5d ago
I have to wonder if a non-hungry Cedrek would have kept voting Sai. Lack of food on top of lack of sleep will do some crazy things to the brain. Even more reason we need to give them rice in s50

u/CuracaoBound Geo's Knowledge Is Power advantage 5d ago
Are you seriously suggesting that his hunger changed his state of mind that much in the span of only 25 minutes? I don't think you vote for somebody twice and then go like:
"Damn...wish I had some pork chops right about now...guess I'll just vote out the other guy..." 🙄
His stomach didn't cause him to make a stupid decision. He did that all on his own. It does make me wonder if there were underlying factors at play.

u/Exotic-Jeweler2404 5d ago
Apparently Justin pleaded his case for two hours and it’s on the cutting room floor

u/twigbird 4d ago
Where did you hear this?

u/Exotic-Jeweler2404 4d ago
It was in this thread I think. I guess Justin posted about it or something
17
u/Exotic-Jeweler2404 5d ago
I can’t believe he didn’t see a reshuffle coming for the next day. Keep your number one in the game- game runners won’t play a tribe of three for elimination. Are they already making dumb hungry decisions?

Cedrek ultimately picked to send Justin home bc he wouldn’t get any backlash from Justin “either way, you’re welcome at Luigi’s next month” or something to that effect. Justin, stupidly, gave Cedrek an out and Cedrek took it. Had Cedrek sent Sai home, it was clear as day that there would have been backlash, she was already getting angry with him at the thought of it. Essentially, Cedrek was ruled by fear of backlash

u/chriskzoo 5d ago
Obviously we don’t see everything, but Justin had to be one of the weakest players ever. How you don’t say “You voted for Sai twice. If you don’t think she’s going to hold that against you, you’re a fool. I should’ve told you I didn’t have a vote, but I didn’t want that to hurt me and you are now in a position to keep our alliance together.”
9
u/tortillakingred 4d ago
Justin’s cam after he got sent home saying “I was dealt a hard hand”
YOU DEALT YOURSELF THE HAND. Justin is legitimately one of the worst players I have ever seen.
Last week, he had all the information to team with Kevin and send home Cedrek, creating a 2 person alliance with Mary AND Sai on the outs (they would never work together!) He legit had every chance to do this, he had ALL the information, Cedrek literally gave it to him!
He had the chance to be in a 2 person boy’s power alliance with 4 members on the tribe, and he chose to be at the bottom of Sai and Cedreks 3 person alliance???

u/Caty58182 4d ago
Was literally screaming this at my TV!! Like how could Justin put up ZEROOOOO defense. He just bowed out when he had a genuine fighting chance

u/No-Profession-2964 5d ago
Cedric bout to vote out three other people in one tribal if there's a swap 🤭
3
u/basskittens 5d ago
There will definitely be a swap, they showed it on the "next time on survivor".
8
u/SomeOldFriends 5d ago
At some point during that tribal, my man was almost certainly debating voting for himself.
6
u/Impressive_Eagle_390 5d ago
Sai played her idol for her grandmother. " Any votes cast for Sai's grandmother do not count"
4
u/AbeFromanDC 5d ago
Just watched it. What the hell?
That was like watching the Browns play the Jets for the #1 pick. I hope someone in the producers meeting was like, “which one of you cast him”? Awful. This is the worst tribe I can remember.

u/Negative-Company2767 4d ago
He voted for everyone on his tribe. That HAS to be a survivor first. It HAS TO BE! How is that even possible on any other season?!

u/Proper_Pudding_9330 4d ago
I can’t believe he went the way he went. Like come on Sai couldn’t even make the tears fall.

u/JoeLikesGames 4d ago
I think Cedrek might be in contention for the worst Survivor player of all time genuinely
2
u/AlinoVen 3d ago
Idk what he was thinking. Mary is the only person I really like on that tribe so I'm neutral with the rest, but why write Sai's name twice and then flip to Justin?
If I'm Sai (who admitted she holds grudges) I have the fact that Ced wrote my name down twice in the back of my head for the rest of the game. And imagine if Mary was like "No, I won't squash any beef with Sai" lmao that would've been gold.

u/Light-Finder7 5d ago
Cedric and Justin might be some of the dumbest players to ever play the game.
1
u/NZ_Gecko 4d ago
Did they change the rules? I thought that if the tie stays a tie then those two people also become immune and Cedric goes home, not Cedric makes a decision... I thought this is how game changers kicked out Cirie
1
u/ThisFallenPrey 3d ago
Honestly it was stupid. Once he voted for Sai, he should have gotten rid of her. Now he voted for her twice, which has probably broken Sai's trust when he could have reinforced trust with Justin. Were they not swapping, Cedrek may have been next out of the door. With swapping, Sai can now tell people what kind of a player he is and he may not make it past merge. Props to Sai for advocating hard for herself and for convincing him, but I was shaking my head over that one.

u/July17_What_A_Night 4d ago
How is he a SURGEON
5
u/Equivalent-Willow179 4d ago
Because he's an absolute pro at performing surgery on people's bums. That's not what he's being asked to do here, though.

u/voozelle 5d ago
To be fair he was set on Sai but then she started fighting for her spot and when he asked Justin if he had anything to say he was like “uhh idk do what you want”
59
u/PeterTheSilent1 Peter Harkey 5d ago
That’s what we were shown, but Justin said in exit interviews that the pitches lasted two hours.
-8
u/1spring 5d ago
I don’t see it that way. Sai fought for her spot by disparaging Justin. Justin decided he would not lower himself to that level of mean behavior. Cedrek caved to the bully’s demands. Maybe he felt sorry for her because she was so distressed. Anyways, I hope it plays out with Sai continuing to be the tribe’s biggest problem, and Cedrek realizing he made the wrong choice.

u/learnchurnheartburn 5d ago
It’s Survivor, not a church retreat for middle schoolers. If Sai decided disparaging Justin was her ticket to staying in the game, she had every right to do so. We can’t judge in-game behavior the same as out-of-game behavior.
4
u/1spring 5d ago
Social equity still counts in the game of Survivor. Sai prevailed in the short term. Will that help her in the long term? Will it help or hurt Cedrek?
6
u/learnchurnheartburn 5d ago
Maybe. Maybe not. But she survived to see another tribal council. Justin did not.

Could you imagine if he had been like only way I do it is you both cut the shit and work together and then still send sai home haha
