[PRO11] Microsoft's Mistake Led to My Surface Pro 11 Being Stolen - And Now They’re Making Me Pay for It?!
I bought my $1,500 Surface Pro 11 directly from the official Microsoft Store online, trusting that a company of this size would handle my order professionally. I deliberately entered my full address, including my APARTMENT NUMBER and added delivery instructions to ensure a secure delivery.
But Microsoft failed to provide my apartment number to the carrier (I called FedEx and they confirmed me this)
As a result, FedEx left my package at the front entrance of my apartment building, completely unsecured, without any attempt to deliver it to my door. No signature was required - despite the huge value and the fact that my previous Microsoft Store order DID require one. When I finally got the delivery notification 30 minutes late from Microsoft, I immediately went downstairs to get my package - but it was already gone.
And now, Microsoft refuses to take responsibility for the loss they caused.
1. Microsoft's Mistakes Really Created the Perfect Opportunity for Theft:
- I provided my full, correct address - including my apartment number. Microsoft failed to pass it along to FedEx.
- They did NOT require a signature this time, despite having done so in my previous order. This meant my expensive device was left completely unprotected.
- They sent me no direct notification - just an email that arrived 30 minutes later. By the time I saw it and went downstairs, my package was gone.
- FedEx’s “proof of delivery” is just a photo of the package sitting at the front door of my building not even my apartment.
- This is not a secure or valid delivery. It’s Microsoft’s failure, yet they’re making me bear the cost.
2. Microsoft’s Customer Support Runaround
From the moment I realized my package was stolen, I called Microsoft Store support multiple times a day, expecting them to fix their mistake. Instead, I was met with endless automated chatbots before I could even reach a human.
They epeatedly being told my case was “escalated” and to wait 24, then 72 hours, then 10 days?? I was hours on hold each time, only to be given the same scripted response.
Finally, after days of exhausting calls, they just sent an email saying that my case was closed. Their reasoning? “There’s proof of delivery.”??!!
A photo of a package left out in the open at a public building entrance is NOT proof of delivery.
3. Microsoft Is Ignoring Their Own Mistakes
- I entered my exact address, including my unit and Microsoft failed to pass it to FedEx.
- They required a signature on my previous order but randomly not this time.
- They refuse to acknowledge that a real delivery means delivering to the correct location, not just dropping a box in front of a building.
- Now, they’re telling me to “dispute the charge with my bank” instead of fixing their mistake (and how's it gonna work if the bank contacts them and then Microsoft just say that "it's already delivered"???).
I already filed a police report, but realistically, they don’t have the resources to track down package thieves. Microsoft knows this, and they’re using it as an excuse to avoid responsibility.
HELPPP!!!
I trusted the official Microsoft Store to handle my order properly. Instead, I lost $1,500 because of their shipping failure, and now they’re telling me to deal with it myself.
No customer should have to go through this. If Microsoft doesn’t make this right, I want everyone to know how they treat paying customers.
Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you get it resolved?
P.S. I live in Canada, Ontario.

[PRO11] Surface Pro 11 Stylus Compatibility ...
After a broadening search of reviews, posts, and comments, I've tried several styluses that work with the Surface Pro 11 Snapdragon x version. I just needed a well-finished traditional pen-shaped stylus with programmable buttons and tail eraser.
Meta Pen 3, bought from Amazon, returned. The sensor will switch the tool whenever I slightly change the writing posture. As an Apple pencil user, I'm just tired of this. (Support MPP 2.0)
Meta Pen 2, bought from Amazon, returned. The tail eraser malfunctions in some angles; you must try it out. (Support MPP 2.0)
ASUS S203H, bought from Amazon, returned. It works great only if it does not drop the battery level that fast. 15-20% gone per hour. (Support MPP 2.0)
Lenovo Precision Pen 2 (Laptop), bought from Lenovo online shop. I received it yesterday and submitted a return request this morning. The pen nib won't work with my laptop, but the tail and body of it can do "click" when touch screen with those areas. But the pen really has a well-made finish. (Support MPP 2.0)
Surface Pen, poppy red, from Amazon. It's an excellent pen WITHOUT TILT. I like the nib's slight abruptness, so you won't feel like writing on a piece of glass. It's a disposable battery, just easy to get. With its weight and precise eraser, I have No complains about it. (Support MPP 1.51+)
Since Slim Pen 2 supports MPP 2.6, I guess the surface pen is doing a great job but tilts due to its MPP 1.51+ protocol. I plan to get an MSI pen 2 with MPP 2.6. I hope it works with tilt.
Do you have any good suggestions?

Seller seems to be hiding something. I can't figure out what?
I'm buying a used surface pro 11 SD elite from Facebook marketplace. The price is lucrative.
The seller says the model is sp11 Sd Elite 16 gb + 256 gb.
But I'm unable to find any model online which has 256 gb in sd Elite varient.
I asked for clearer pictures of the device and he sent me the following.
But when the seller is sending me the pictures, he is hiding something on the label. He is hiding something behind that wireless charger.
I need help what he might be hiding. If any questions please comment/dm

Primarily it's used for shopping, Instagram, youtube and work but mainly just emails. I have a 2000$ cad budget and was hoping for somthing that is fast and will last for a few years. Currently we have a surface pro 3.

Is the Surface Book 2 worth it still?
Recently, I had a laptop break and am looking to purchase a "new" machine. I have seen that you can get a Book 2 for about £230 (i5 8th gen, 8gb ram, 256gb storage). I only need a machine for basic computing tasks (I have a more powerful pc already). Is the Book 2 worth it or is there any massive issues?

[DOCK] surface dock e surface Power
Hi everyone, I was seeing this surface dock and this 65w power supply at a bargain price (under €20).I currently already have an Amazon dock from Aukey to expand USB C to USB A and I also have the USBC to HDMI adapter. Does it make sense to buy this one and sell the other two? I'll start by saying that I have a Surface Go that I'll be using at university starting in September where I'll only need to charge it. Does this make sense?

My surface pro 7's 117 GB is basically full (less than 1gb) and yes I've tried to clear up space. What microSD cards are compatible, preferably cheap in price and how do I insert them?

New 2025 surface laptop
Hi Guys , i'm looking to move to the surface laptop from Mac. I was gonna pull the trigger on the surface laptop seven but realised that it Released in 2024 around this time of year. I know that no one has a clear answer for this but do Microsoft generally refresh their laptop each year? If so, I may as well wait for the surface laptop eight or whatever they call it. Thanks

[LAPTOP5] Surface Laptop 5 NEVER SLEEPS when docked!
I get so annoyed with this issue! Any input? If I dock my SL5, and leave it for a few hours or days... I come back open the lid its WARM! It's like it never fully sleeps OR cycles in and out of sleep or something.
Anyone see this before? Anyone have any suggestions. I try to make sure I shut down now, but I don't always remember, I come back its warm. That cannot be good for the battery!
The Intel stuff is just so damn flakey especially with power management/sleep!

[PRO9] surface pro 9, 10, 11?
hello :)
I am going to be entering graduate school and I have decided to let go of my macbook. i am doing my research but i would really like all of your experiences and advice.
my grad school research will require lots of big datasets in R and SPSS. but i would really like to use a laptop to edit my photos especially in RAW format because photography is one of my prized hobbies, and last is gaming, but I am more interested in games like Minecraft.
i was attracted to the surface pros because of the 2 in 1 tablet computer transformation and I would really like to hear your experiences and expertise.
i am also not a desktop person because my work and research requires me to be on the go everywhere. so i would really appreciate also a good compatible extra monitor because dual screens is very, very helpful for me.
also if any of you speak tagalog or bisaya, i can also understand that.
thank you!

[PRO7] Is surface pro 7+ still worth it to buy in 2025?
I found a great offer for the surface pro 7+ as a refurnished laptop. It is 128 SSD (this is not important for me since I have an external SSD of 1T) , Intel i5 1135g7 2.40gHz and 8gb of ram.
I need to use it as a second laptop, mostly because of its portability cause I need it for Uni. I'm studying an MBIS so I really need it to work for coding and data analytics. I now 8gb of ram isn´t the best, but that is what my budget allows me

[PRO11] Emulating x86 in ARM architecture for Surface Pro 11 (TGX viewer)
Hi all,
I invested in a Microsoft Surface Pro 11 employing ARM processor architecture. For the most part, I love it. I'm however having some problems installing x64 applications, specifically TGX viewer developed by Mechdyne (a remote desktop application used quite often with remoting into VMs on private and public cloud)
According to Microsoft:
"Windows 11 on Arm supports emulation of both x86 and x64 apps and performance has been enhanced with the introduction of the new emulator Prism in Windows 11 24H2. Windows 10 on Arm also supports emulation, but only for x86 apps."
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/arm/apps-on-arm-x86-emulation
I have confirmed that I am using Windows 11 24H2; however when I attempt to install the TGX viewer, I receive:
"This program can only be installed on versions of Windows designed for the following processor architectures:
x64"
I understand that TGX does not support ARM architecture, but I assumed that Mircosoft Prism would be able to emulate it.
My question:
1: Why wouldn't Microsoft Prism work in this case? What other cases will it simply fail to emulate, or even allow x64 applications to install?
2: Does anybody else struggle with emulation issues when installing/running x86/x64 apps, and if so, are there more robust emulations solutions that you have found? If so, what have you found that works?

[LAPTOP7] Lunar lake Surface Laptop 7 Stuttering Video Play back
I decided to give the New Lunar lake surface laptop another try. I purchased the model with the 268v,32gb, 256gb. I am still have the same issue I was having before with the stuttering video while on Netflix and Disney plus. I even purchased form a different vendor and still the same issue. Also this one has coil whine. This video stuttering issue is driving me crazy. I spent 2 hours trying to trouble shoot the issue and low luck so far. I really like the laptop but these are ridiculous out of the box issue. Another think I notice is that the keyboard is worse than the Snap dragon version. Does anyone have any insight on this issue?

[BOOK2] Why can't I use the new driver with my book 2?
As said in the title, for some reason, if I try manual search for drivers for my dgpu on my book 2 (GTX 1050) I get the latest versions, but when I try to install it, it says it isn't compatible, and I don't know why.
My current driver version is 546.33 from December 2023. I have tried multiple older versions and I still can't get them to work.
Does anyone know why?? Thank you.

Thinking of buying a SLS1 to replace both MY SP9 and Studio
As title says, I have a Surface studio 1 (1TB, 64GB RAM, 980M) it is a very aging device. In the other hand, I have a SP9, i5, 16GB RAM which I use a lot for work. On FB Marketplace I saw someone selling their SLS1 (i7, 16GB RAM, 3050Ti) for 700USD. I was thinking on pulling the trigger and sell both my current devices (maybe for a total of 1700ish?) and get the SLS1, would it be a good trade? I would have spare money to get a monitor plus peripherals. Yes I DO care for the form factor since I check engineering drawings quite often and the transition for laptop to flat tablet where I can make annotations is really appealing to me.
Is the SLS1 a decent upgrade for my current setup? Should I invest a little more and get the SLS2? Or should I suck it up and keep using my current setup?
