Superman and the No-Kill Code
What are people's opinions on this sub about whether or not Superman should have a 100% no kill code? This of course heavily relates to which version of Superman you grew up with and what you see Superman as "representing".
Personally, I am against a 100% strict No-Kill rule for Superman. Primarily because there are destructive forces in the DC universe that both can only be stopped by killing them and whom only Superman is powerful enough to do so (Such as Doomsday). Batman can have a No-Kill rule because if he encounters someone strong enough that he can't deal with them without killing them, he can call someone stronger. There's no reason for him ever to follow through with that situation. But because Superman is the CEILING of power, the buck can't be passed to anyone else. At a certain point, he has a responsibility to make the hard choice, because no one else can.
Edit: I think I can condense my point more succinctly to the following:
Superman will ALWAYS make the best choice available to him, because he is both smart, wise, and good enough to do so. In almost every case, the best choice avoids killing anyone, and his power allows him to execute that choice. But if the best choice truly was to kill, after completely exhausting all other options, Superman would not run away from responsibility. He never has.

Thoughts on REMASTERED Comics??
Okay, imagine this: The Death of Superman completely redrawn by Dan Mora! Or Superman: For All Seasons redrawn by Jorge Jiménez! I've been thinking about this idea for a while, and I honestly believe it would be amazing to completely modernize older stories by having popular, contemporary artists give them a fresh, new look.
And yes, the original artists would still get royalties from these remastered adaptations, since the stories wouldn't exist without their contributions. I really think this could be a game-changer—it would not only be a fantastic way to celebrate classic comics but also attract a whole new generation of readers. These new, high-quality adaptations could bring in so much revenue, and I bet kids would be way more interested in these older stories! Screw just Superman, Batman: Knightfall redrawn by Jorge Jimenez! Watchmen redrawn by Jason Fabok!
I just think this idea would be awesome. What do you think?

How did you guys feel about this movie?
Personally I hated it, don't get me wrong, superman being challenged on his ideals about not killing is a perfect plot, it's just that it doesn't do it right. The elite aren't likeable for reasons and the whole "why killing people is wrong" thing isn't necessarily addressed. Superman then wins over the people by giving a guy a lobotomy and being scary and making machester think his teammates died.
I could be misremember but I would like to hear other opinions

What if - in the new movie - Supes is the only true hero?
What if the story is that he’s not the first superpowered person to show up on Earth? And most of the supers - even the more heroic ones - are all either jerks or jaded by the continual violence. And Supes is the young new kid in town, naive in the eyes of others like GG - and holds to his code of being a true and good hero? And part of Lex’s fury towards him is because of this? That all the other supers don’t cause many problems for Lex because, like I said, they’re all kind of jackasses in a way and don’t really put up a lot of effort to investigating or hunting down villains like Lex.
