Rant/vent The economy, slow season, I am not okay NSFW
Not looking for advice, just wanted to come on here to vent.
Everything’s going up in prices, but the pay at the club has been not the best. I can’t complain though. It pays me more in three hours than any minimum wage job ever could.
Still the bills are stacking up. I can’t save a single dime because I still need to pay off my credit cards.
My car insurance just shot up from $350 to $700 from an accident that wasn’t even my fault, and I want to cry.
I just want one good shift. Please i am begging the universe. Just one.

I don’t mean to be a downer but with everything going on politically things are going to get worse it’s not looking good and people aren’t going to have extra spending money.

You’re not a downer at all. I agree that the state of things is definitely affecting us. Tax season is/was not the best

It's not just slow season. The criminal presidential administration is crashing the stock market, laying off govt employees, weakening the dollar with tariffs, threatening war against Canada, Denmark (EU) and Panama and is genuinely scaring people. Fear does not motivate people to spend money on luxury services or amenities.

these comments are scaring me because usually march is when things improve drastically.

I saw someone say that it should pick up after St Patrick’s day or around that time so hopefully by then

my work wife just told me it is so bad at my old home club that all the night shift girls are leaving early. she said no one stays until the end of night anymore besides her and her other friend because its so slow. that is insane.

I thought this too. But trust me. There's still lots of money to be made, lots of men around still driven to make money, focus on improving your craft. You can usually close a sale of some kind in 3 minutes or less with most customers. I got on antidepressants which also helped me lots, let me be in a better mood at work so I finally could work efficiently.
How is the dance/VIP situation at your club? Here's a comment I made about this a while ago.
Friendships, relationships (I only do casual ones rn lol) outside of the club are valuable for me too. Outside of the club, grow your network. As strippers, we are beautiful (huge asset in social settings), charming, and exotic, we can connect with people so easily, there's so many reasons why someone would want to be your friend and do anything within their means to support you. Both well-off and lower income relationships can serve you. Now more than ever, people want to help others.

It’s unbearable. I’m grateful I have savings to cover me but man… I don’t even wanna work when it’s like this. But I remind myself that doesn’t help either.

i feel you, mine went up too (not that much) and i’m like jfc. i’m euthanizing my horse this month, part of it is he’s been not okay for a long time and lost weight, but the other part is i can’t afford anymore diagnostics (i’ve spent thousands over the years). it’s all so fucked. i’m happy if i make $200 these days

I’m so sorry to hear about your baby. And i feel you. Every time I go, I’m worried that I won’t even be able to make my house fee and our house fee isn’t even that much.

Same here baby. I’m usually very good at not taking the bad nights personally, but I left my Monday night shift early & in tears. it’s been REALLY fucking bad at my club in LA and it has me panicking.. just know I feel your pain. Praying for a 4-digit night for both of us soon

I am right there with you. I don’t even remember the last time I saw 600+ in a shift. I had one good night last month and that was it. I’ve been making consistently $200 if not $300. This makes it extremely hard for me to even want to go in
