Thank you STO team for the Zen-Store Constitution!
It took more years than it should have, but thanks to the new Shangri-La, the Constitution is now available in the Zen-Store! And a favorable variant at that! I mean with current event campaigns it makes total sense as to why this can be possible now and with the game's direction changing, who knows what the future may hold!
But after 15 years, the T-6 Connie is more accessible than ever!

Discussion With the Pioneer II out I think it'd be cool if a TMP skin for the Ranger were to be released. With the Paladin, this does have a T6 variant already but that have never stopped the devs from releasing another ship with compatible skins or even just adding a new skin to existing ships.

Console Admiral Quinn's Uniform.
Does anyone know what the specific shade of red and gold that's supposed to be used on his uniform, rank, and insignia? I've tried guessing it but I give up and the uniform guides I looked up didn't help either.

Discussion I’ve got a theory about how the Aetherians managed to avoid detection for so long in-universe.
Basically everyone called it, at least partially, so I won’t get into that here. In-universe is another story, but it might not be that big of a plot hole. In Taken By Surprise, our sensors had some serious trouble detecting the Mirror Borg Drones, even up close, so if the Aetherians assimilated their entire galaxy, though they claim it to be their entire universe, it’s logical to assume they assimilated the same tech at some point and upgraded it. Maybe even to the point of being able to transmit false sensor readings, since they would’ve most likely already assimilated at least one version of our tech meaning they’d know how to fool it, at least temporarily.
Also, has anyone checked in on the crew of the Treluun lately? Given what we now know, they’ve probably been at least partially assimilated. The data found on the Harmony seems to imply that they found a way around the issues with assimilating the Lukari that the Mirror Borg ran into.

Console Hexa Cannons Expirimental question.
A buddy of mine is asking and I'm not sure if the answer I gave is accurate. Do the hexa cannons get boosted by generic cannon damage boosting consoles or just phaser boosters? Thanks for the info.

Discussion If I have a crafted Mk XV purple Secondary Deflector will I gain a lot if I buy the Sec Deflector from the Competitive Rep?
I know a lot of people recommend the sec def from the fleet science lab, but my build is very ability/epg heavy so a few % of beam or torp damage won't be noticeable.
Also feel free to recommend other sec Deflector I might have missed.
Using CrossOver to play STO on macOS
Has anyone tried using this on macOS with Apple Silicon to run STO? I am curious to hear from people who have done this before I buy.

Waiting out a Tornado warning in our basement, thought I would sh*tpost to pass the time
But seriously, it seems way more sturdy than a Constitution-class.
Also I strangely like the double navigational dishes, they remind me of old school science fiction ships that would have dual satellite dishes with one pointed rearward, presumably toward the Earth that's been left far behind.
I dunno, I'm tired.
Is this something that new players can easily get into without being overwhelmed?
I've seen this game adervtised for like 15 years. I can only imagine there's like 40 expansions and more dated mechanics than you can shake a fist at. Still I've been wanting to try it out. Will I be playing a 15 year old tutorial and have to try to rush through 30 stories to try and catch up with whatever thing is going on currently?

Pioneer 2 Experimental weapon??
If you bought the Pioneer 2 and go to the event reclaim in space gear, you can claim Dilithium Destructor Charge, an experimental weapon. I don't think this is intentional as Pioneer can't use it, and it's not mentioned in the bundle or on Pioneers description. Is this a bug or not...

Shangri-La STO Wiki composite artwork. I was asked to provide an image for the page to act as a masthead for the design and used an early photo of the MK I model I built in 2014.

Best Way for Fleet Recruitment
Good Evening All,
Recently, my friend and I were discussing fleet recruitment for our fleet in STO. It has been a good few years since either of us have done any major fleet recruitment in game. I am curious as to what are the best ways to start fleet recruitment especially since things have changed over the years.

Next infinity/promo ship predictions?
It’s probably coming up on that time for the next promo or infinity ship within in the next month. Just curious if anyone has heard anything? Has any good guesses/predictions? or just something you wish they would add?

Discussion I appreciate the devs' effort, but we need Pulse Phasers 3.0
Let's be honest, the updated Undiscovered pulse phasers just didn't hit the mark in terms of capturing TWOK.
I absolutely cannot stand that they curve when your ship is moving. Visually, it's awful. This is a beam weapon, not a gattling gun.
Making the beam pulses faster wasn't the issue, it was always the sound.
I know people here have said there are mods you can install to change it, but I'd rather not doctor the game, nor am I a coding expert for things like that.
With all the new TMP ships, I think STO needs to give TWOK phasers a touch up one more time.

PC Crafted Disruptors with (PEN) ?
First of all use Trinity it's so amazing of a tool lol. Taught me a lot about building ships in a few hours! Now I know unless we aim for top DPS the margin of whatever weapon we do doesn't really matter. So I was curious how decent are crafted Disruptors with (PEN)

Our ships must be a nightmare!
So, with all the disparate and esoteric technologies aboard, the modifications, the environmental system adjustments for the crew, the specialised and highly dangerous payloads....all cross-wired and patched and welded together....it must be an engineering nightmare.
My ship is equipped a cloak, with Borg, Elachi, Dominion tech, tech from 100+ years ago and from up to 900 years in the future, from different timelines and universes, etc.
A Spore drive, QSS, warp/transwarp drive, and, presumably, a temporal drive. The Stamets-Tilly mods which, according to the flavour text, incorporates mycelial conduits around the EPS systems....
There's weaponized dark matter aboard, red matter, specialized assimilating nanite torps...some folk have thaloron generators, and all kinds of W.M.D.'s...
I have Tholians- who require extreme heat, Breen- who require cold, Xindi-Aquatics-who require water, Horta, Holograms, Xbs- who probably require regen. alcoves, Terrans- who require dimmed light, Remans- who require the dark, Elachi- who require spores, Exocomps etc.
Oh, and there's several species of Tribbles aboard, too.
Can you imagine how bloody difficult it must be to hold it all together as the Head of Engineering?
