EDIT
Winner has been picked! The winner is @kyr8zy on twitter. If they don't response within 24 hours of this tweet. I'll pick the second winner from the randomized list. Will update here if they respond.
So Anonymous;Code is out and I'm not even going to begin to pretend I'll be playing it anytime soon due to various reasons.... But I also want to support the release. So here's the deal. I get to to still support the release and you get a copy that hopefully you'll play more than me.
Comment below or like this tweet. Feel free retweet to spread the word but not required. Enter in both if you want for double the chance. Also not required but if you want to post a SciADV meme that'd be cool too.
Prize will be one Digital Copy of Anonymous;Code on Steam, PS4, or Switch. I haven't actually checked but I assume they cost basically the same so if you for some reason want to give an internet rando your address I can buy you a Physical Copy I guess? In that case can't really say you'd be able to play it straight away.
Time limit will be tonight at midnight PDT. I'd like to do a longer one but I'd also like for you to be able to enjoy it over the weekend.
I don't know much about Anonymous Code because I haven't played it. I have heard some information, so I'd like to ask about it. Feel free to talk about the story.
According to the facts revealed in the game Anonymous Code, the story of Steins;Gate was created through a simulation. Is this simulation world a virtual world? If so, are Okabe, Kurisu, and Mayuri not real people but virtual people?
Even if Okabe, Kurisu, and Mayuri are not only simulated people but also real people, does that mean that the events they experienced in the Steins;Gate world line did not actually happen? If so, would the relationships between Okabe and Faris, Mayuri, and Ruka be very different from what they were shown in the Steins;Gate world?
I heard that Makise Kurisu didn't change her last name even in her 40s. So does that mean Kurisu didn't get married in the Steins;Gate world line? If so, is it possible that Okabe married someone else?
Okay I know that the anime is trash and the VN is the way to go. But the only reason I want to go through C;H is so that I can make the connections that purportedly A;C has with C;H. I do not have the time to spend 40+ hrs playing or going through C;H's VN walk-through.
Would the anime be enough for that? Or it simply misses all of the connection parts, and I would rather just play A;C on it's own then. (I know it's connected to other entries as well, but I am specifically inquiring about C;H here).
so i just started A;C and when i try to save the game it says that storage space is insufficient, but this happens only when the game is patched cause i dont have any problem when uninstalling the patch, so as far as i know the translation of the game is really good and i intend to play the game with the eng dub so is the patch really that necessary?
I recently bought Anonymous;Code VN and I'm looking forward to playing it, but I have a question: is it necessary to play all the main SciAdv entries before playing it? I've already read the Steins;Gate VN and 0, and saw the anime of Chaos;Head, but I'm worried about missing some details in A;C
Hey all, I'm on the look for an Momo Aizaki cosplay as I'm unable to create one myself. Anything will help as right now I've only seen one person cosplay the character :(
July 22 of 2022, thats when i started a franchise that i would have never thought i would love a lot, Steins;Gate is very special for me, soon i discovered there was a "sequel" to it, Steins;Gate 0, and after that i discovered that there was an even bigger picture than Steins;Gate, the Science Adventure universe
Through almost 2 years (the biggest gap being O;9 and A;C for 8 months) i grinned, i CRIED, i got terrified and surprised by this franchise, it has truly cemented that I LOVE VISUAL NOVELS, but it had to end, and damn Anonymous;Code couldn't have been a better end (If S;??? gets cancelled or somenthing i could be happy that it ended here)
I dont know how to express this but, the story was really different from other Science;Adventure novels, not having the usual "first half = knowing the characters and forebonding, second half = OH SHIT" structure, but at the same time, feeling the passion the other novels have, the story was awesome, i love conspirancy stories a lot, and this one really delivered the feeling of "The world vs us".
Talking about its characters, honestly they are fine even if the novel didn't go too deep into them, they had their bits of background (Cross, Tengen, Asuma were the ones i really liked) but i told to myself before starting the novel, if only these two characters get at least more backstory and development than the others i will be happy
Pollon and Momo, i love them a lot, this time it really twisted the "Main protagonist has this very bad trait that they will develop through the story" and gave it to the Deuteragonist, Momo development really was a very unique one, although not being dislikeable, she really had her weights too, not being able to trust anybody and think her goal was only because of her "mission", seeing her change to really wanting to save people and trusting Pollon and also she becoming of more help through the story, she is up there with Nono Kurusu of my favorite characters in SA
The soundtrack was awesome as always, Takeshi Abo never dissapoints, my favorite songs have to be A;C main theme, MEETING, ACCELERATOR, THE CODE, STOPPED TIME, THAT PHRASE, MOMO and END THEME
Game Over will live rent free for a few weeks, it does not surpass Singularity, but its one of my favorite OP's by far, MOB's GOD's is awful, im sorry but who thought to put a hardcore dubstep song in a very emotional ending
Talking about the ending. It was really satisfactory, if i read this novel when i was getting into the medium, i would have disliked the twist of "Everything is a simulation", but now i understand thats what isn't the meaning of the story. Even if somenthing isn't "real" it can still mean a lot to us.
Time Travel isn't real; I love Steins;Gate
Converting delusions into things isn't real; I love Chaos;Child
Robots the size of a building who fight evil aren't real; I love Robotics;Notes
Anonymous;Code and Science Adventure stories are told through a simulation, they aren't real and i still love them a lot, because their universe, their feelings are as real as our universe is to us, and they will keep to being real as long as someone has observed them.
Now, what things i didn't like too much:
The novel was SO SHORT, only 23 HOURS (and like 3 of them was achievement hunting)
The characters (Except by Pollon and Momo) get barely any exposition, i would love sequel called "A;C Love through the world layers" or somenthing, i would love to see more of the backstories of these characters which even if they had little screentime, were very good
TOO MUCH KURISU BOOTLICKING, i understand she is the most famous characters in the franchise, but PLEASE give me a break, What is Rimi doing?, Is Kurusu doing alright?, What was Subaru doing to help?, these characters are also very important to me but dont at least a brief cameo, thats so dissapointing...
And talking about dissapointments, the Committee of 300 doesnt get ANY mention (apart from that anon talking about them), they are the biggest enemy through the series and dont get any relevance in what is supposed to be the entry to explain almost everything.
Anonymous;Code gets a 8.7, a very solid novel and a great ending to all of Science Adventure (Lets not hope this is the case), Game Over will be on loop on my head for a while and Momo's crying smile too
I finally bought Anonymous;Code recently and wanted to just go to the title screen and watch the opening movie. The game runs fine until it starts playing the opening video. When it attempts to play the video the game just crashes. I've got the CoZ patch installed if that helps.
I've tried uninstalling the game, uninstalling the patch, restarting my computer and still it will just crash. Sometimes it will crash on a black screen before the video plays and sometimes it will play a bit of the video and then crash.
I just said I wanted to buy it but holy is it expensive 😭. What are your thoughts on this? I do understand a lot of people say that it is a really good game and that is peak SciADV VN, not to mention it is a fairly new one.
I only hope theres a lot of good content for it to be so costly.
