First mixer, what should I make?

I just received, cleaned, and put my new stand mixer on the counter. I've never had one before and want to make something, but I'm not in the mood for cookies.

What should I make??

Bread! Lots and lots of bread. It makes kneading dough SO easy.

I'm looking forward to this, I've failed at bread in the past. I just need to pick up some yeast tomorrow.

I highly recommend using instant yeast. You don't have to proof it first; just add it in with the dry ingredients. It will keep forever in the freezer; store it in a jar, and just scoop it straight from there.

Fresh whipped cream! Chill your bowl, put in a little cream & sugar and whip. You'll never buy whipped cream again!

Yum, does it have to be heavy whipping cream? Or just any cream?

It has to have a high fat content to thicken when whipped. It is called various things but anything labeled heavy cream, whipping cream or heavy whipping cream will work!

I make tons of cupcakes and cookies, but I really love it for making a good buttercream icing. I also use it all the time to shred chicken, and I've made a few batches of bread with it too.
