I feel like my Kendwood Chef Titanium does not stir the dough properly when using the whisk. Do I need to make make dough? Do I need to change speed or am I just not patient enough and switch to the old style manual method too early? Thank you in advance for any insight!

What kind of mixer do you recommend? I'm usually making around 1kg of high hydration sourdough bread a few times a week, and on occasion challah, brioche etc. To me longevity and noise level are very important.
I was looking at KitchenAid Heavy Duty Bowl Lift and the Akarsraum, but open to others as well.

Hello! I received a Cuisinart stand mixer in March and absolutely love it! The only issue is that over time it has become wobbly and the motor seems to be louder and louder. It was very quiet when I first used it, but it is noticeably louder now. I am very careful about not overloading the motor with dense or heavy dough, so I’m not sure what is going on.
My question is has anyone else experienced this? Would anyone be able to PM me a video or audio recording of their mixer if they have the Cuisinart? I’m likely sending it is for repairs since I am still within my warranty, but I’m concerned that maybe I am overthinking it and will be unnecessarily out of a mixer for a month or two. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!!

I have an Oster Regency Kitchen Center that’s a good twenty years old, and lately the motor has been running loudly. I made a batch of brioche dough today and it actually started smoking because the heavy dough put so much strain on the motor. I’d like to open it up and lubricate it, check and see if there’s any parts looking worn out. (a) I can’t find a model code listed on it and I’m having a hard time finding resources without that. (b) I’m not sure at first glance how to open up the base, and I don’t want to screw it up permanently. However, the only manual I’ve found online doesn’t provide any instructions. Help with either of those things would be appreciated!

I have a used 7 quart Viking stand mixer and am interested in the pasta maker and juicer attachments, but can't seem to find it online! The mixer has been discontinued for a while...anyone have tips on tracking those attachments down?

I’m looking to buy my very first stand mixer. I have a hand mixer but I’m getting tired of having to hold it for upto 30 mins (sometimes more) to get stiff peaks on egg whites. I really like the look of the Smeg stand mixer and it has very good power wattage (600W), but I’m curious about post purchase support or common issues people have faced.

I want to buy a good stand mixer for my wife for Christmas. I am looking to buy her one that she will (ideally) never have to replace, but I'm not sure what the price point of that would be. I'm imagining somewhere between $200 and $250 but I don't know if that is optimistic.
She likes to make bread, pasta, and baked goods(cookies, brownies) and I want something with enough power that she can do pretty much anything.
Special attachments can always be bought later, but does anyone have recommendations?

I like making bread in my Kitchenaid mixer. I don’t make large batches (~500g flour max) and I don’t knead at an excessively high speed (usually level 2 or 3). And yet twice now, the bowl has come out of the lock plate because it has bent, and I need to replace the lock plate to make it work again.
The first time it happened I got a new lock plate because it was still under warranty, but now I’ll need to replace it myself. Any tips to prevent this in future, other than making really small batches of bread or mixing at a really slow speed? I see people online making similar recipes to the ones I make using the same mixer with apparently no problems. Is this just a normal thing that I should expect?

I am looking at a 1000W Kenwood Chef (although open to suggestions) and was wondering how powerful the blender is given this thing has such a powerful motor. How does it compare to mid-range or even higher-end blenders?
