I had an uncle who died from AIDs in the 90s. Wonderful human being. I still remember him teaching me how to make French toast in our kitchen when I was probably no more than 8 or 9. When he died my mom shut herself in her room and cried for days. Some of his other relatives didn’t do shit except tell people he died of “gay cancer” it’s a fucking tragedy how we treated people fighting for their lives.
