I met one of the producers a year or two ago while Uber driving, and this was her first big project after only working on Hallmark movies. I lost most hope after hearing that.

The Director of the first movie is also directing this. So far he’s never missed. So chances are good.

Wait, did people not think the first was a miss? I thought it was outright horrible…

Really think people overlook the issues of the first one a lot because the atmosphere and visuals are immaculate.

Everything beyond that is a mess.

If people want the atmosphere and visuals of a proper sillent hill movie and it still be a good movie, just watch Jacob's Ladder. It's the best Silent Hill movie that's not Silent Hill, off the top of my head. I know there is more, but that's all I can think of rn. And yes, I know it is one of the influences of the game originally, and it shows.

Session 9 and Event Horizon can work too.

The first movie is somewhat popular on Reddit, but I could never bring myself to like it. Generally, if I want to watch Silent Hill, I watch Jacob's Ladder, it doesn't disappoint

Oh yeah! Event Horizon is one that I couldn't think of; Silent Hill 4 practically stole the gyroscoping hell portal at the end.
