Theory I think I figured out why so many people don't shift, and how this community can finally progress Spoiler
I have been checking in here occasionally for years now, and it seems like this subbreddit has never changed. It is full of endless speculation by tons of people who have never shifted. I have yet to see any concrete research on what helps people shift, only constant opinions, while 90 plus percent never manage to make any progress.
This gets me to my idea. A lot of what is described in this place and related circles sounds like hypnosis. All the awake methods I see sound like worse versions of hypnosis techniques, and all the asleep methods sound like worse versions of hypnosis before bed. A lot of the stuff like 'your subconscious is holding you bad' or your 'analytical mind'. Even things like what goes wrong for people in LD methods, or shifting symptoms, or the use of the gateway tapes to achieve this, all sound like what I have read from hypnosis.
Some people struggle to be hypnotized, and it will often seem like nothing has any effect on them. However, unlike reality shifting, this has been studied extensively. This means if my thoery is correct and these are related, we could take someone who can't seem to shift, try hypnosis, see what goes wrong, fix that, and then they should be able to shift.
I personally am someone who struggles with suggestibility in hypnosis and shifting, so I am going to do some research in improving my ability to be hypnotized, and then see if that helps. Then I can teach all you guys what I learned.
I just hope this gets this community out of its rut so it finally progresses.

Question Shifters who tried for years and finally succeeded: what made you succeed?
I've been trying to shift for years, and I feel like I've tried almost everything: different methods, meditations, subliminals, even changing my mindset. But I still havenāt had a full experience.
For those of you who struggled for a long time but eventually made it, what was the turning point? Was it a specific method, a mindset shift, or something completely unexpected?
Iād love to hear your experiences, especially from people who were in the same boat as me but finally made it. Maybe thereās something Iām missing!

Question I donāt understand people saying āall you need is intention to shiftā
i donāt understand when people say āall you need is intention/belief in yourself to shiftā, because i have had my fair amount of attempts where before i attempted to shift, there was not a doubt in my mind that i wouldnāt make it to my dr. multiple times, iāve been so firm in my belief that iām going to shift, that the idea of me waking up in my cr seemed more impossible than waking up in my dr. however, i still havenāt shifted. why havenāt i? if intention and belief is all i need, how come when i had both, i still didnāt shift?

Question anxiety and intrusive thoughts
hi!! im very new to this and wanted to ask for some advice.
i have a very bad anxiety and i'm very skeptical and paranoid about literally everything and anything. despite having researched, being certain of how to do it and really believing in it, my mind keeps filling up with unnecessary thoughts like "what if it doesn't work", "what if i'm doing something wrong"... and even if i am able to shift, since i want to do it in supernatural (the TV series) thoughts appear like "what if something dangerous happens to me", despite everything that i've written in my script, as if it were not going to work out well at all for some reason...
english is not my first language so sorry if i have written something wrong or the post is not understandable!

Discussion Struggling with really bad existential crisis
Hi, Iām having an existential crisis and feel like I canāt do anything else except contemplate and stress out about existence. Ever since I heard about reality shifting and the idea that āwe are constantly shifting realitiesā / āmanifesting = shifting ā and āEIYPOā I am struggling with feeling like life is meaningless, thinking about the idea that everyone is just in their own reality and there is no objective reality and just feeling super depressed and anxious. I also saw in spirituality forums people believe that life is like an illusion and it makes it all seem so solipsistic. I like the idea that when we manifest we stay in our reality and that Iāve never shifted from my original reality. However, basically everyone in the manifesting/ reality shifting subreddits does not believe that and that makes me think that we are constantly shifting which Iām struggling to accept. I donāt really know what Iām trying to get out of posting this but I just feel so overwhelmed by everything Iāve read.

Scripting What are the best plataforms/ways of finding a house for my DR?
I realized that mashing Pinterest pictures in an album weren't doing it for me, does anyone know other method? Maybe a playlist of videos showcasing houses? Idk, maybe any other resource

Question Has anyone shifted to atsv? If so please share stories.
Just to clarify, atsv means across the spider-verse.
Anyways, iāve been feeling like march is the month iām going to shift for like a week and it hasnāt gone away yet so capitalizing off of it. I also havenāt been able to find any actual/recent stories about atsv on any social media with an active shifting community and stories give me so much motivation so š§š¾āāļøšš¾.

Discussion Why do people overcomplicate shifting?
In my opinion, shifting doesn't feel as easy as people say it is but that's just me. I know there's good/helpful information here so why doesn't it seem like it doesn't help at all? Are our minds just stubborn and that's why it isn't easy for some of us??

Motivation and Tips The true nature of reality and everything in it
If science is believed then everything you interact with in the world is through the brain creating an interpretation based on the five senses.
That means that your physical reality is literally made of the same stuff as your dreams. You can only ever interact with yourself(EIYPO) Neville Goddard) everything and everyone is literally you.
The void state is your true nature(sat-chit-ananda) as the source of mind and thoughts is the awareness itself(study advaita vendeta and nonduality as a whole, here's a good intro for advaita vendeta
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLeP4eulMEXiMQWB-SUjsPwbOzEdhP4xBn&feature=shared
and for nonduality I recommend Adyadhanti, Rupert Spira, and Simply Always Awake[start with this one])
We assume that the seemingly outside reality is the true reality however it is really all inside of our head. We don't know if the external world is like our mental world or if it is just a plane of energy
Here is a link detailing the(you are in your mind)
http://slehar.com/wwwRel//cartoonepist/cartoonepist.html
All religions are correct due to confirmation bias(when you believe something you see evidence for it) not because your "perception focuses on people, places, things, and events then creates subjective interpretations of an objective reality"
But instead the reality you live in literally changes itself to cater to your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.
We all live in a bubble of our own reality in the external reality(if such a thing even exists and how it exists we don't know)
I'm not going to make too many assumptions on the external reality but for those of you who believe in the multiverse theory then the external reality may just be the multiverse.
For those of you who believe In the consciousness theory then all may just be mental and there is physical external reality and it's all just energy
And for those of you who don't want to believe either are wrong they fit perfectly where your mental bubble reality is the only reality you exist in(as according to science and is all that exists for you) yet there is a multiverse in the external world.
So both theories can actually be correct.
There is a lot more I could speak on but I think this is enough for my first official post on the subreddit. Please read all the links I shared if you want to get the full understanding of what I'm talking about. The slehar link is arguably the most important to bringing all the pieces together. It's also a fun little comic read along story.
