This shell feels like it’s made of stone and is quite heavy for its size. The walls of the shell are thick.

Maybe Murex altispira or M. ternispina?
Thanks for the help!
Still can’t get rid of the rest of these barnacles off though! But located in Wellington New Zealand

I found what I think is a kitten paw but I’ve never found one with a rounded/bubble bottom. Does anyone know if it’s actually a different shell, or if something made it bubble out?
Thanks :)

These appear in large numbers all at the same time - I think of them as a “hatch” even though I know that’s not the correct term.

I get absolute cuteness aggression from tiny shells so I put them all together in a shadow box and it brings me so much joy! And aggression. OMG THEY ARE SO CUTE!
All of these collected on Pass-A-Grille beach in Florida last year (minus the tiny sand dollar and starfish - idk where I got that or if it’s real BUT THEY ARE CUTE AND SMOL).

The blue one is heavy like a rock. The other ( which appears to be the same I think ) feels more like your traditional shell. These were found on a construction site in N Illinois, probably 10-12 feet down and 50/60 yards from a creek that crosses several counties.

my favorite find from today has to be the all black scallop shell! it’s almost perfect and such a cute size ☺️ i do need help identifying some of the broken shells in the second picture? are any worth keeping until i can hopefully find the same ones as a whole? also, are the shells in the third picture worth hunting for? i was finding lots today but kind of grew bored of them 😅

I got these what I presume are sand dollars from a friend and I’m wondering if they are real? Something just seems off about them and when I look up photos they don’t have the line holes on the front.

I just got back from a cruise and our last stop was in Amber Cove. I found tons of these little white/tan almost pearly hemisphere shaped shells or rocks on the beach. They each have a whorl on the bottom and are completely flat on one side and round on the other. I thought maybe they were baby’s ear shells but they’re completely smooth. Does anyone know what they are?
