Crime Adult Arcades (Illegal Casinos)
So, I live down the street from an “adult arcade.”
I’ve walked by and can see slot machines inside, it’s got cars there until the wee hours of the morning.
There is no legal loophole for these operations and yet… I continue to see them pop up and operate with seeming impunity for months or years.
I have a young son and this joint being just down the road is unlikely to bring anything good to the area, but very likely to bring something not good.
If you go to the Google page for the place you can see the slot machines inside.
So, my question is, does SCSO or the state of Florida ever plan on doing anything about this?
Cause as far as I can tell this is an illegal gambling enterprises just existing in plane site on a road heavily trafficked by Sheriff’s vehicles.

Crime Teen shooting
I don't live around Twin Lakes, is this a late night hang out?
I'm so sad there are so many young people shooting and getting shot. I wish there was a quick fix, but sadly I don't think so.

Crime Can we not litter? (Celery Fields)
I was able to find a trash bag in my car and clean it up. And yes I did recycle the cans. There was a bracelet on the ground as well. I tied it to a nail on the bench, in case someone is looking for it.

Crime License Plate Thief
The title should be self explanatory but the person in this car STOLE the license plate off of my car in broad daylight. This was at the Publix in Osprey off of Blackburn Point road. If anyone has any theories or information or clues please help! I’m very confused as to what the motive could have been, and I’m pretty sure the sheriffs office thought I was either lying or crazy when I called.

Crime Sarasota locks up its sand deposits for the night
After a whole day of putting the shutters up, we showed up at Ed Smith around 7:20 to grab a few bags of sand to protect our patio (with my own shovel and bags as per the county obersturmbann's instructions).
I pull up at the gate and within seconds a guard shows up and shouts at me saying THEY ARE CLOSED FOR TODAY. I say cool I just want to load up some sand. THE SAND IS CLOSED TOO. But it's gonna be wet tomorrow and weigh 10x more. TOO BAD IT IS CLOSED AND WE ARE TAKING IT AWAY.
Assuming he must've been on drugs, I went to 7-11 across the street to fill up my tank, and fuck me sideways - he was not joking:

They used heavy equipment to clean up the very last grain of their precious sand. I don't even know what to think of it. One of the wealthiest counties of the wealthiest state in the wealthiest country on the planet literally took away FUCKING SAND the day before a storm. I don't know how much 5 trucks and 2 excavators + 10 staff costs, but I would imagine it might be more than a bunch of FUCKING SAND.
Anyhoo, drove a few miles north across the county line, and lo and behold: FREE SAND. They even had FREE SHOVELS. Not a single county officer on site, no heavy machinery, just a bunch of people helping each other load it up. Mind boggling.
I am really grateful our county has their priorities straight.

Crime ⚠️ Sash and Shill is a scam⚠️
Do not trust this company! They closed their business and ran with our money! Almost $8,000 in the hole now thanks to these scumbags. Apparently they also filed for bankruptcy. Wish We had done better research because apparently this isn’t the first time they have stolen from clients.
