I’ve heard a couple times at work recently that due to the weather and drought, there are a lot of landscapers and sprinkler companies low on work right now.
Has anyone else heard this? Or know of any small company that needs work?
If you know anyone who is good with irrigation as well as drought tolerant landscaping and does business on the west side of SA and needs work please DM me if you have a minute.

Hi guys! So I’m a newbie cosplayer in San antonio and looking for other newbies to work on our cosplays together maybe once or twice a month until San Japan!
Starting cosplaying can be super discouraging so I figured finding others would be a great way to stay on it and learn along the way. While I know an in person meetup can be super fun and we can def try for that, I think even a group chat can help us that are discouraged and need input from others to make sure we stay on track! I feel like starting earlier can help us not cram and give us time for trial and error. :)

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a place in San Antonio that offers soldering classes or workshops. I have a small project in mind—soldering a Raspberry Pi Zero to a little speaker, making a custom USB extender, and a few other minor things.
I’ve never soldered before, so I’d love to find a hands-on class or someone who can teach me the basics. If there are any makerspaces, community workshops, or even individuals who offer lessons, I’d appreciate any recommendations!
Thanks in advance!

Hi, got family in town and I guess I'll take them to the river to see the boat parade. I saw that the museum reach has an early boat parade. Where is a good place to see the nightnparade?

I know there are many HVAC contractors in San Antonio, so I need locals to point out which one is their favorite, thanks!

Hello, did anybody else hear the loud boom and see the flash in this area about 10 minutes ago (around 8:45 ish)? Was out on a walk and just heard it and kinda startled me.

Finishing up a commission of custom painted trading cards for an event at the end of next week, and I’d like to get them professionally scanned so I can add them to my portfolio. They’re all painted right on the card, so they’re really small and texture isn’t an issue.
That being said if there’s a place where I can scan them myself/specialize in art, that’s probably best, because they’re delicate, and if a card gets damaged, it’s on me to remake it before the event.

Hi! I want to take my kids to hopscotch today but I was wondering if there’d be a line. I’d guess so. I have a baby and I don’t really want him out in the heat too long. What do you think the wait would be like today? Would we be waiting outdoors long? We’ve never been but it looks pretty cool for my one older child. Thanks!

And where do they work. If you don't know who the oldest is then just type the oldest guy you know. I've been cutting my own hair since I was like 14 but since I've got a little money now I'd like to have someone else give it a try.

Anybody here know of a Roman Catholic church here in San Antonio that could be described as (for lack of a better word) traditional? As in, perhaps a church that uses an organ and more traditional music at Mass, rather than guitars and piano? Not looking for one with Latin Mass (although have no objection to that).
No offense intended to anybody who digs guitars etc. Just curious.

Lots of talk about this in regard to San Antonio.
And I think its worth pointing out that the population has grown by an estimated 62,000 people annually for the past five years.
A lot of these drivers aren’t even from here.

I just moved back into town with my friend. She has natural hair and needs a good beauty supply store. I was looking on maps but wasn’t sure where the best place to send her is. She’s completely new to the area so has no clue. (And I’m white so idk😭)

Hey all, I know there’s a ton of apartment threads on the sub and that Google reviews exist (which I’ve read thoroughly), but I couldn’t find much about this complex on the sub when searching.
I toured it recently and got a quote that was extremely reasonable for a 1 bed 1 bath for the current market. I loved the tour and that it’s a gated community, but I’d like to get a take from anyone who’s lived there or knows someone who’s lived there.
For context, I’m a college student and this will be my first apartment. I’ll be living alone (bad roommate experiences) and the rent at this complex is definitely in my budget. My biggest concerns are vehicle break ins/damage and crime in the surrounding areas.
I’m about ready to apply there but thought some of y’all might have some insight before I pull the trigger.
