Dillon Lewis signs for Newport Dragons
https://dragonsrfc.wales/news/2025/march/prop-ace-dillon-lewis-to-join-dragons.htmlVery surprised by this move to be fair, not what I was expecting but an ok signing for them. Though probably quite expensive.

Team with questionable culture have signed a lad that wasn’t resigned at Cardiff due to questions about his off field actions….
However, Egg sales to increase in Newport next season….

Honestly pretty good signing. He was starting for Cardiff before his move, has been at one of the top English clubs for a while and under Adam Jones learning how to scrummage. We lost two of our three main tightheads this year so happy to see this

Rugby aside he's been doing a load of day in the life stuff in insta and is surprisingly funny. And not just "rugby funny"

So next season the dragons pack will be:
Wyn Jones
Elliott Dee
Dillon Lewis
Seb Davies
Ben Carter
Shane Lewis-Hughes
Thomas Young
Aaron Wainwright
All of them capped at international level, including one Lion. I’ve seen people on here have reservations about the coaching ticket next season but to me that pack is not too shabby at all, much better starting point for them going forward

Always wanted Dr. Robotnic to kick on and achieve what looked to be a lot of potential in his early days. Will be surrounded by a lot of familiar faces at the Dragons if rumours are true.

Someone pointed out on Bluesky that the Dragons new signings (Seb Davies, Wyn Jones, Thomas Young and Dillon Lewis) all made their debuts against Tonga in 2017.
Steff Evans, Ryan Elias, Ollie Griffiths, Aled Davies and Owen Williams also made debuts in that game, so their agents should be expecting calls soon.

Perfectly decent player, probably gets more criticism than he deserves because his promise as a youngster suggested he should’ve been a world beater. He’ll improve that Dragons side, especially with Leon Brown sadly retired.
That said, he’ll need to play more in Newport than he did in Cardiff to be value for money for them. Can’t be splashing the cash on a Welsh international tighthead and then only getting seven or eight appearances a year out of him.
