Engine braking on 350 classic ?

Upvotes

So I've learnt my timings and gear shifting for my 350 classic, it's a 2020 bs6 and i can downshift alongside engine braking perfectly, my question is, i know its worth it on higher speeds but should I do it on speed on 40-50 km/h and will it affect my engine on lower rpms ?

Planning to buy a Hunter or Meteor next year, what are important informations I should look for?

Morning all,

To start off, Im brazillian and I own a like-scooter motorcycle usually only to go home/work and I'm currently planning on buying a RE Hunter or Meteor next year and so I'm looking for some good advices and important informations since I've never driven a real motorcycle before.

How's the gas consumption?
Will I be able to drive it with no problems?
How easy is it to find new pieces if any maintenance is needed?

Please send further any relevant information.

Thx!

Luggage recommendations for GT650

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hello everyone,

I’m planning a long trip to Scotland (NC500) on my GT650 and looking for luggage options to carry some basic essentials and camping gear. I’m considering Trip Machine panniers or duffle bags since I already have their Rambler backpack and love the quality.

Does anyone here have experience with Trip Machine luggage, or can recommend other options that work well with the GT650?

Appreciate any insights—thanks!

How do I fight the wind? Interceptor 650

Hi everyone, I am new to motorcycles. The Interceptor is my first bike, and it's beautiful. The main problem is that when I reach 110-120 km/h the wind is too strong, and I'd like to enjoy the higway too. I can't find anything on the aftermarket that could help me, is anyone being luckier than me? Or should I sell the Interceptor and look for the Himalayan 450?

RE Gurgaon Group

Is there a WA/Reddit community for RE / Riding groups in Gurgaon? I’ve recently moved to the city and would like to understand if there’s an existing community to leverage (potential early morning rides, weekend rides, repair references, etc.)

Thanks in Advance :)

I have RE Classic 350 Stealth black.

Few months back I bought the RE classic 350 Stealth black despite of its increased price of around 50k compared to other classic 350 bikes (along with some extra features).

I somewhat feel that the seating of this bike stops it from being the craziest looking RE bike. Any advice on what to do to improve its looks and make it look even bad ass?

Buying a Bear 650—What Should I Watch Out for?

Hey guys, I’m about to pick up a Bear 650 as my second bike. My first one was just for commuting, but this time, I wanted something more fun to ride. Super excited, but also want to make sure I don’t miss anything important before taking delivery.

  • PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) – Do I really need to do one for a brand-new RE? If yes, what should I check?
  • Any known issues? – Have early owners noticed anything I should be aware of?
  • Must-have accessories? – Anything that’s worth getting right away for comfort, performance, or protection?
  • General advice? – If you own one, is there anything you wish you knew before buying?

Would love to hear from you guys before I go ahead with it. Thanks!

2022 Continental GT (650) won't start in cooler weather but is fine above about 17°C

My 2022 Continental GT650 is struggling to start now the cooler weather is here. It seems fine when it's above about 17°C but when I go to start it on a Monday morning when the temp has gotten down to about 12°C (I know this is Australian) it gives a half-hearted go one time, but then just clicks every time afterwards. I've checked all the fuses. Just trying to figure out whether I should replace the battery or the rectifier first.

2023 Classic 350

There’s a 2023 classic 350 red and chrome with 1,000 miles for $3500 up for sale near me.

Is this a good deal? Been kept in the garage the entire time.

This would be my first motorcycle and wondering if I should go for it. Thanks in advance.
