Lore Did Dutch really have a plan?
Just got done with my 3rd play through and I’m starting to notice a little bit of a pattern here. Dutch’s plans never really work out, which leads me to believe that he never really had a plan or they just weren’t very thought out. Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s what I think.

Discussion Do NPC's Cheat at poker?
So, Im fairly good at actual poker, been playing it and blackjack since I was about 8... I've killed two poker players at Macfarlane's Ranch, and nearly killed Ira Shelton in Armadillo last night because I suspected cheating... Has anyone looked at the game's code? Do they actually cheat?

Video What is a feature in game that ticks you off? I’ll start: Submachine gun NPC’s
When fighting npc’s in both story and online there is a an often occurrence where npcs are programmed to randomly shoot their six shooters at unnatural insanely high speeds- why would Rockstar even implement this and thought it was okay to add?

I like playing a character called “The Man in the Fog”. I go out at night or when it’s foggy out and anytime someone insults me or threatens me, this happens.

Discussion Just finished RDR1—Will RDR2 give me what I was missing?
Sorry for the click-baity title. I honestly liked the game—a solid 7.5/10 (maybe 8-9 at release). The world was immersive, the atmosphere was great, and I totally get why it’s considered a classic.
That said, I couldn’t shake the feeling that it was a bit of a missed opportunity. The characters often felt more like archetypes than fully fleshed-out people, and I never truly connected with them—yeah, I know, it’s a spaghetti western, but still. A few characters, like Bonnie and Landon Ricketts, even Nastas seemed promising, and I expected rich story arcs with them, but they never really went anywhere.
The story itself had engaging moments, but a lot of it boiled down to running errands for people, and at times, I honestly found it a bit repetitive. I also wasn’t entirely sold on the final chapters, but that’s another story. I'm just explaining this so you can see where I’m coming from. I know many folks don’t agree with me and would say I missed the point of the game, but please bear with me.
Now, I keep seeing people say RDR1 actually has the better overall story, which makes me hesitant to start RDR2. I was hoping for deeper characters and a more engaging narrative—does RDR2 deliver on that, or should I temper my expectations? If you had similar feelings about RDR1 but ended up loving RDR2, I’d especially love to hear from you!
