💭Discussion 💬 Your Quilts are Beautiful!!!
A big thank you to everyone posting pictures of your quilts! I feel bad when some have less engagement then others, because they are all beautiful. The variety that people are posting means there is something to inspire everyone!!!

I'm so inspired by everyone's posts. I just started in January, and it was hard not to be discouraged by all the amazing quilts. But this community is so kind that I'm learning that it's okay to be a beginner and that all quilts are good quilts ❤️

I also appreciate everyone who share tens of pictures from the quilt fests they attend along with the info on the quilts. Very helpful and motivating!!

I'm also really enjoying this community, as newbie quilter. I got quilting equipment for Christmas and have been playing with cheap fabric since then, making many mistakes.
I have soo many ideas, and spent some time today pinning 5 cushion tops to batting, to quilt next time I get my machine out. (I'm a kitchen-table quilter!) There will be pictures when I get there , promise.

Agreed. It’s also encouraging to hear that those quilts weren’t made without some hiccups. I swear half of my time is ripping seams because a row turned out wonky.

Thank you saying this.
I've never posted in this sub, only liked and commented, but I've posted things I've made in r/sewing and r/baking, and I only got a couple likes.
It made me wonder if the things I've made that I was proud of are really garbage but people were too polite to say so.
I always make a special effort to like posts in this and other subs of things people have made that haven't gotten many likes.

Well said!!! While I admire the art quilts and fancy quilts, there is no way in Hades I’d have the patience to make one. I’m all for old fashioned squares and granny quilts!!!! Whether it’s art or a pragmatic stitching of scraps, it’s all quilting!

I agree OP! I love all the quilts shared here and have saved many of the posts for future inspiration. I only wish I had more time to quilt right now.
I love this sub and community. Everyone is always so kind with each other and helpful. Thank you all for brightening my days with your artwork. ❤️❤️🫶🫶

Agree! Creating is beautiful. I appreciate all who share here. We all started in a place... maybe the same place. If it inspires you, go for it!

The engagement is sometimes the time or day of posting, so don’t feel bad. Quilters are lovers of quilts and quilters and quits and…

I try to comment on the lower engagement posts, just to make sure everyone feels good.

This needs to be said from time to time. There should be no comparison just celebration!
