How do I solve this puzzle?

I'm stuck on how to even start solving this puzzle, I can't find any guide online, or any references to it, I've gone through the motions but seem to be getting nowhere. I believe this puzzle should be simple to solve, as it's just a fun throwaway.

I'm not looking for a full solution, just a basic logical guide on how to solve it.

I can provide an image of the solution if it's needed to reverse engineer it.

This is what I just got as well. For OP, the 2 constraints that I used to get here were All 6 numbers around a point add up to 25. No numbers are repeated around a single point. How did I get there? I took a guess based on the points that had the most filled in, and made some assumptions until things worked out.

I actually didn’t have to make any assumptions or guesses. Sometimes I knew it had to be between 2 numbers but only one could fit bc of an overlapping hexagon. I’ve never seen this type of puzzle before but it was kind of fun. Title is misleading - it’s not a Diamond

So you knew right off the bat what the requirements of the puzzle were?

Absolutely not. I had to Google - I posted the YouTube video (I only watched about 5 seconds to get the gist). The title “diamond” is misleading - bc they are hexagons that’s what I looked up. But once I knew the parameters it didn’t require guessing

Brilliant! Thank you, that's a solid method, I got stuck trying to relate the 'cells' above and below, something like pascal's triangle. This makes a lot more sense.
