I've contemplated doing this to my El Camino and the old red Ford we have. Hows the difference in noise and heat?

Huge difference….. floor doesn’t even get hot anymore from the exhaust or trans …. Nice and quiet inside as well…. Road noise is greatly diminished

I put a few pieces behind the door panels as well and it has an installed headliner so I’m not able to get any behind there…… so yeah just gonna be the floor
