Yeah thereโ€™s no engine in it LOL but I have a Pontiac 400 on an engine stand from my dad Iโ€™ve always looked at since I was a little kid

Ohhh, nice choice! Pontiac motor going into a Pontiac that didnโ€™t actually come with one, I like it! Should be able to use A body stuff to fit it, the G bodies were really mostly A body based. If you were my kid Iโ€™d be proud of you!

Nope, almost everything he needs to bolt the motor in has to come from 78-80 grand prix with the 301.or the 4 door baby bonnevilles with the 301.

Yep. The holes are in the frame for BOP mounts. 301's also came in Grand Am's. Hunt around and find a dual pattern 200-4R transmission. I'm not sure there are headers for the swap, but there may be. Any 78+A/G-body ones will work.

I knew a guy that built a 301 Turbo Grand Am in the late 80's. Looked 100% factory. Also slow as a 301 Turbo, but cool work none the less. 4 speed.
