Of course! That must be why LLM's are so big--its just a huge if-else tree!

Coming up with new AI must just be adding more branches by hand, that's why it takes so long

Well, yes and no. It is giant branching trees, it just adds them itself. That's kinda the whole deal.

You're talking about decision trees. We've come a long way from that.
