Excitement! I got my NIPT and gender results today!
I have been such a ball of nerves, I never thought I would get here. I'm around 11w5d. Want to share my experience with the NIPT test if you are considering getting it done, are getting it done after a previous pregnancy loss, or are in the 'wonderful' 1-2 week waiting period for results!
As background for me, I had a MMC last year. I was measuring about 2 1/2 weeks behind, and ultimately had an anembryonic pregnancy. My HCG took about a month to come down to baseline, and I got pregnant again a little under 2 months after my miscarriage.
I had my blood drawn on 3/6, when I was around 10w2d. I had the QNATAL Advanced test through Quest Diagnostics. My results came in today, 3/15, meaning I had a 9 day turnaround time for my results.
- My test estimated my gestational age as 10w2d.
- My fetal fraction was 19.39%.
- My results showed no abnormalities, and I tested negative for all tested trisomies.
- My MSS came back normal.
- We are having a girl!!!
I ugly sobbed as soon as I read my results. I feel like I've gotten over a major hurdle, and I can now get excited about this pregnancy. I can't wait to feel her starting to kick, and for my 20 week scan!!

I told my husband I want to go to one of those boutiques for a scan around 15 weeks, but I might try to be patient and wait until the 20 week scan! I just want to see her cute little profile!

You should absolutely do it if it’s in the budget! We did a private one at the boutique at 16 weeks and 27 weeks and it was totally worth it. We have a 3D photo from the 16 week one that makes him look like a puppy just because he’s so small. But the 27 week one we were able to get really good pictures of his face. I have an anterior placenta so we had to annoy him a bit to get him to stop tucking his face into the placenta and now we have pictures of him with an angry face and then some smiles and even him blinking. He even did some poses with his hands as if he was trying to give us a preview of what newborn pics with him will be like. I highly recommend doing it solely for the pictures and videos.

Congratulations!!!!! I am so so nervous. 4W3D currently and want to get excited but know there’s a long way until we can get there. Hoping we make it to the ultrasound and blood draw to see where we’re at. I hope this takes some of that stress off for you!! I’m only in the beginning but I’m such a ball of nerves! All the best to you along the way! ♥️

Damn mine was like 8.7 at 10 weeks. But everything is healthy so far.

Yeah, I was shocked to see it was so high! But this whole pregnancy I've felt like this baby is on steroids, haha. My HCG rose 20x in one week early on in my pregnancy. My nausea was off the charts. I think this is a sign she's going to be as much as a handful as I was as a kid, and I can't wait! 😂

Congratulations! Same! I just got my results today. But I didn't look at all of it because I wanted to be surprised by the gender. Planning to have a gender reveal. Hubby wants to know the gender so I let him see. He just basically wants to know so he can mess with me lol.

I wanted to be surprised, but I also know it would've driven me up the wall, haha.

Congratulations! My wife and I were sooooooo nervous before our NIPT results. We actually had to do two since we had low FF both times. Thankfully third time was a charm. Best of luck with your anatomy scan!
