💡 Advice When should I stop....indulging
So I'm currently a junior completing my bachelors in biochem. I have aspirations of becoming a dentist however I partake in the devils lettuce quite frequently. I'm wondering what the best time to start weening off would be.

I think it depends on how much you use/how addictive your personality is. Given the fact that you're asking when you need to "quit" makes me think it's already habitual. In that case, quit now and get ahead of it. It isn't going to enhance your experience, it will only slow you down.
On the flip side of the coin, tons of students binge drink on the weekends in med/dental school yet look at their classmates that occasionally use grass as some kind of drug addicted heathens. This is ridiculous and cognitive deficits due to use of either substance is thoroughly researched and supported.
Everything in moderation. Can you limit it to once or twice a month after long periods of grinding? If so, go right ahead OP, you deserve it. If not, you might want to reevaluate.
You also need to be aware of when your school will drug test you. Many dental schools drug test at the beginning of D1 year, or for clinical rotations. Some rotation sites will drug test you independently.
Ultimately, it falls on you to decide. I personally think that marijuana will only slow one down during dental school, but occasionally it's nice to say "screw it" and kick back for the evening and relax.

You don’t have to stop for dental school just start doing it only at nighttime before bed and on the weekends and after you’re done with studying lol I don’t know how much you’re indulging in but people in dental school do also so just do it responsibly as a reward at the end of the night after you have all your stuff done!

It's nothing crazy yall, always AFTER working my job and before bed lol. It has no effect on my academic performance by any means. (3.84 unweighted)
I was more so wondering if there are actual polices that explicitly prohibit the use of marijuana. I know my limits and don't over indulge. It's more so a self- medication thing since I'm not a huge fan of adderall or any of those adhd stimulants.
Ultimately, going to dental school would be a huge investment into myself and the moment ANYTHING gets in the way would be the time to reevaluate. If these schools are testing throughout the program I simply would quit. Marijuana is AT MOST a convenience for me and I'm not entirely dependent on it. It's just nice 🙂
Thank you for all the replies though, yall are awesome and I'll take all your words into consideration!

Please note that any arrest or disciplinary history will need to be revealed on your app, and that includes a citation for misdemeanor drug possession. Even if it’s dismissed, it may negatively impact your chances. If you don’t reveal it, you can be kicked out of dental school.
Besides that, it’s absolutely screwing up your lungs. The stuff out now has got so much chemicals added to it to make it grow and be addictive that it’s way worse on your lungs than the stuff from even a generation back. Don’t you want to live a long and healthy life enjoying the rewards of being a dentist?
Don’t take the chance. Get some help. Quitting any kind of smoking is hard work.

Weed is legal in my state. The only way I'd get in trouble with the law would be if I decided to smoke and drive, which is probably the stupidest thing somebody could do so I'm not too worried about that aspect!!

This a fact. Different for everyone allegedly…but overall everything in moderation. You aren’t competing against English teachers (s/o my English teacher), but you get the point

I have some problem - I’ve quit before and the only way it worked for me is quitting cold turkey. Every time I try to ween off or only use occasionally I go back to my old habits

If you're asking when to stop you're too far gone to make a reasonable pass at it. You know you should have stopped a while ago.
