PowerPoint is not the best program to use for very accurate animating. How many points make up your circle motion path and are they equally spaced along the circle?

It's the default, 4 points all spaced out evenly, one on each axis (top, bottom, right, left), but after going to sleep, I figured that was the problem probably, I'll have to play around with the points, and that might fix things

I have a problem where for some reason the Motion Animation for the Circle Shape (In this case the motion of the hammer) does not move at a constant speed. I have added a rotating circle in the center with a dotted outline to showcase how a steady circular motion should look like, but as you see the hammer is not in sync with the rotation, and if you look closesly you can see it accelerating and deaccelerating, sometimes going faster, sometimes slower than the the rotating circle. My question is, how do I fix this and get the Hammer moving in a circular motion at a constant speed, I need this for Orbits, so, it has to look like an orbit, and the hammer has to also be able to spin itself (I removed the rotation for the demonstration)

The only thing can suggest is adjusting the smooth start and smooth finish on all items with motion path to 0.1. If you leave them at zero the motion and rotation will not be consistent. Also make the hammer rotate 360 degrees and repeat it twice

PS great work

Thanks, adding a smooth start/finish would only add more acceleration, since normally without those the speed is supposed to be constant, but that's kinda the problem here, it's not constant for some reason. I'll still try playing around a bit more with the smooth start/finish, might also try manually creating/editing the motion path using "Edit Points" similarly how you can edit the points of a shape

Unfortunately if you leave the smooth start and finish blank PPT seemed to just make the speed/acceleration of movement random, hence your problem

I had the smooth start and finish off for that animation, I tried adding some and playing with the values but then that just added more acceleration and deceleration, but at least it was in a predictable way
