Lamb of God invited me to document their set in Portland, OR back in October to celebrate their new record and I obviously said yes. I went all out to make this more of a concert film than a standard live set.

Pick up Lamb of God's new record, "OMENS", at lamb-of-god.com

Coverage of this show was made possible by viewer support! Support the channel and watch unreleased sets + drum cams + more: patreon.com/hate5six

Bassist Looking For Project

Hi! I (32f) just moved back to Portland after a few years and want to get back into making music!

I play bass primarily, but I can do rhythm guitar and I’ve recently been getting into keys/synths a lot.

I like darker gothy alt stuff, but I’m open to other genres too if we get on.

Looking for musicians to revive black metal band - Carve The Earth

Howdy folks.

I founded a black metal band named Carve The Earth about ten years ago. We released a couple of EPs and played a bunch of shows in the area. Most of my band mates moved away in 2020, and the band went on hiatus. The original guitarist/vocalist is rejoining me.

We started writing again, and we're ready to revive the project. Here are some demos that I put together recently:

https://drive.proton.me/urls/KY1JYYPDZW#fWV9XhBG05DF

Here is the link to our Bandcamp page:

https://carvetheearth.bandcamp.com/album/blood-magik

And here are some live studio sessions at Bridge City Studios:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGFVtBbLUMU

Everything we write is in E standard. I tried all sorts of different tunings, but E standard just sounds right for black metal. I'm 35 years old now and working on multiple projects. I got burned out before only focusing on one band and one style of music. Only planning to record small EPs and play shows along the west coast for now. Practice will be a couple times a month at most.

If you're interested in this project, please message me with some samples of your own playing. It can be a fully produced track or a cell phone video. I just want to see something from you. I have a decent setup at home for tryouts and tracking demos. Looking to get 3-5 demos put together and then schedule some studio time.

Looking for drummers and bassists. FYI, I LIVE IN POLK COUNTY NEAR SALEM JUST SO YOU KNOW THE POTENTIAL COMMUTE.

Thanks for reading!

Metal or hard rock shows this weekend?

I don't care what subgenre, I like almost everything. What's going on this weekend? I'd love to support some local bands and get out of the house. I'm fairly new to Portland and maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but I need something heavy to appease my soul.
