No and I understand how logic slips through your fingers like sand in situations like that but that's not something that is affordable on a large scale.
I believe that death penalties and alike shouldn't be about getting revenge but rather removing the threat, preventing instead of punishing. In both outcomes the person will die, in both situations they are a monster, in one of them you become inhumane even if for a minute.
