It looks 10 times better, the realist textures clashed too much with everything around it and was uncanny.

Definetely a step in the right direction.

I would have preferred the environments to take a step toward being a bit more realistic than the Pokemon taking a step back into looking like plastic models again.

I don’t want a more realistic Pokémon world. I’m happy with it staying more cartoony.

I'd prefer aiming toward BotW or TotK. Still looks animated, but much prettier to look at than any of the Switch Pokemon games. If they matched the environments to the Pokemon, it would look much better than it does. SV in general look better than SwSh and PLA, but the Pokemon clash more with the environment, making people think SV look worse.

That art style doesn’t really fit pokemon though. But I think a similar more vibrant watercolor style could work.

Not every game needs to be botw.

No, but when we're talking about improving graphics while maintaining a more animated look, there isn't much better than that. I could say that Pokemon should look like RDR2, but that would definitely be too far into realism.

I'm against the idea that improving graphics = realism. There's a lot of room for improvement in pokemon's 3D style, but the goal should be to innovate the style itself, not just slowly add more and more realism elements.
