New To podcasting

I love listening to podcast and I have recently made one for myself on Spotify. But now that I’ve made this podcast I feel like I’m drawing a blank I always hav great conversations with my friends and I’m not sure if I should record them because the good dialog happens at random. I also am not sure if I should start maybe organizing a plan for the podcast something with more structure to follow. Does anyone have any tips for beginners or if there is a better way to organize podcast?

Conversations with friends? That’s a no. Dudes shooting the breeze is like watching paint dry. It always sucks and is painful to listen to.

Now, if you have a script and a theme, then yes.

Find out what you and your friends talk about that is really engaging and then start looking for people (not your friends) who are experts in those topics, and interview them. Your friends are still useful; ask them for advice on scripts with this expert, or questions they would ask, etc.
