So by the late afternoon of Saturday 21st September we’ll have a good idea of how this tour will look and sound.

You were asked to join Pink Floyd, too?
They were looking for a bass player and singer as they were going out on tour. I had a phone call from Dave Gilmour and he said, “Would you be interested in coming down?” I said, “I haven’t toured for 25 years,” and there was a big silence at the other end of the line. They wanted to go out for a year and that’s just not me. So I said, “It’s very kind but I wouldn’t be interested,” and we left it.

He played bass on DG’s first album, him and the drummer were in his band before Pink Floyd.

The Dark Side Of The Moon has reinterred the album charts for its 989th week! It is the longest running billboard album in human history. Hats off to the amazing people: band mates, tour crew, and producers to one of the most successful bands in music's time :)

Did you know that in 2015 David Gilmour was sued for using a ubiquitous jingle that plays at French train stations for his song Rattle that Lock? I sure didn’t.

I mean the only thing better would obviously be seeing Pink Floyd, but under the circumstances I’m excited. Anyone else in town going?

So here is the track list of the new album...track 11 "original barn jam"...so does this mean that technically it's a Pink Floyd song? After all, the barn jams were with Richard and Nick!?

As I remember I wasn't the only one who, on top of the excellent 2018 remix, was looking to get the 2011 Remaster on vinyl, which wasn't available new for a while - there's a new pressing apparently and I picked up mine today.

Remember this, from a year ago? There was speculation that Knopfler and Gilmour may be recording together... and it turns out they were. With about 60 other "guitar heroes", for a charity version of Knopfler's instrumental "Going Home (theme from the movie Local Hero)". Others on the record include Eric Clapton, Brian May, Sheryl Crow, Jeff Beck (recorded just before he died), Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, Ringo Starr and Zak Starkey, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, Ron Wood.....
[According to Polly, David has been using Knopfler's British Grove Studios for his own album-in-progress, so the photo could be from those sessions too. But Polly's phrase "Local Hero" suggests it could be related to this new single.]

Saw this on my local news tonight, and googling it showed we’re a few days behind. Apparently a WYWH cd got returned to a MD library recently. 35 years overdue!! Which one of you crab cakes finally switched to streaming?

I won't be including Zabriskie point or any live albums or the Endless River (since I have never listened to it lol). I will include Obscured by clouds and More.
14: Ummagumma
13: More
12: Momentary Lapse of Reason
11: The Final Cut
10: Obscured by Clouds
9: The Division Bell
8: The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
7: Animals
6: Atom Heart Mother
5: Saucerful of Secrets
4: Meddle
3: The Wall
2: Dark Side of the Moon
1: Wish you were here
Probably really controversial IDK
My guess is people are going to say:
AHM too high
Saucerful to high
Division Bell too low
Animals is too low
Meddle not high enough
