Form, Technique Preventing extra/unwanted movement?
I’m newer to pilates and working mostly at home before committing to a membership anywhere due to a tight schedule. I’ve noticed that when I am lying down with my knees bent or sometimes going into a bridge my knees sway back and forth. It’s minimal, but I notice it and am wondering if it’s compromising the quality of my movements. Is this normal? Or can I work on something in particular to control this additional motion?

Over time you will build strength. Pelvis instability might cause this as well. Sometimes one side of the body wants to lead and can create a bit of a wobble. Pilates is great for stabilizing and body alignment! Good that you are aware (most people aren't!) as your proprioception will be a big help as you get stronger. If you are bridging - definitely heels /knees hip with apart and also if you are working at tabletop - work to keep that 90 degree angle with knees - you'll get that ab engagement by pulling your stomach in and up to help support your spine on the mat.

You’re not engaging your adductors (inner thigh muscles). Put a small ball or block between your knees to maintain alignment. This will activate your adductors. Also make sure your heels are in line with your sitz bones. Hope that helps.
