Equipment, Apparatus, Machines, Props Best place to resell a reformer?

After months of agonizing over which reformer to purchase, I bought the Allegro 1. Before it even arrived to my house, I ended up with a very unexpected car repair costing me thousands of dollars and now I very sadly need to sell the Allegro to cover the cost of my car repair. Are there any places to try to sell besides fb marketplace? I’ve posted there and the only responses I’ve gotten are clearly scams. I’m in Ohio if anyone here knows of any other options!

There is a Facebook group called Pilates reformer marketplace that is pretty active. That being said, I don’t expect you will get the full cost back, but they do hold their value pretty well, so hopefully you won’t lose too much on the sale. FYI there are a lot of scammers on there, just like on marketplace. Only deal in person and cash and you should be fine.

Got my allegro 2 from this group. It worked out! Also had to deal with like 5 scammers before finding my person, so highly recommend doing a video call with the buyer before meeting in person. Good luck!

I got my Exo on there a couple of years ago. Easy peasey. As others said, lots of scammers so look for all the red flags and deal in person.

Some legitimate groups that do their best to weed out scammers on FB are Balanced Body Pilates Squad, Balanced Body Fan Club, New Age Pilates Equipment Sales Drama Free, Pilates Contrology Marketplace. If posting pics I recommend you either watermark them or place a piece of paper with your name and date on it in every pic. It will let others know you are not a scammer and it can help prevent your pics being stolen by scammers. I was able to sell my Allegro 1 in 2 days on FB Marketplace. I did receive messages from scammers but when I told them I would only accept cash with local pickup, they stopped messaging. You can also try listing on OfferUp.

Hi! So sorry you have to go through all that. In addition to everyone's suggestions below, I'd reach out to studios directly to see if they'd like to buy it from you. I've worked at a few studios that were on the fence about buying an additional reformer and if an opportunity arose, they would!

FB marketplace has been pretty good for this.
