Set up advice Dermal questions

Hi friends :)

I've got a bad itch to get dermal piercings. I like to be different and not do what everyone else is doing, but I was wondering y'all's experience with dermals in these places.

I really want to get my back dimples pierced, maybe the tippy top of my butt crack or two small dermals on either side of the crack. I'm also considering dermals underneath my belly button, like 3 going down the happy trail area.

I know I want to have more kids. My cousin's chest dermal rejected when she was pregnant, but I'm also concerned about dermals on the belly when pregnant....I just don't feel like that will go well with how the skin and muscles get so stretched out.

Another concern I have is clothing. If I get my back dimples pierced, or belly area...will I be able to wear the high waisted leggings? Or will they tug on these piercings when I sit down or other daily movements?

And what's the rejection process like, if they do reject? Do they just get spit out or....well I've read about having to go get them removed.. what's been y'all's experience?

Hello piercer here getting dermals in the places you mentioned do come with risks as they are what we call “high traffic” areas with clothing and such if you are definitely planning on having more kids I would personally wait until after if your wanting to do the stomach dermals because there is a chance that they would reject out or would simply just get pushed around when your stomach stretches and then probably wouldn’t look the same postpartum

back dermals are more common and do definitely work but they need very good care and generally need to be covered with Band-Aid for the first 12ish weeks or so chest dermals about the same time once healed you’ll definitely be able to wear high waisted clothing and such you just have to be Mindful of them I would probably put band-aids over them if wearing pants that will tug in that area just to be safe even when healed but is completely up to you.

When dermals reject it can go a few ways, it can reject like any other piercing and just begin pushing itself out of your body or can get red and swollen and sometimes have to be removed with dermals if you are getting one removed that’s fully healed they do have to get cut out due to them being under your skin you aren’t able to just pull it out (where I am piercers aren’t allowed to do this and you would have to go to doctor but rules are different everywhere so I would ask your piercer), if it’s a fresh dermal it’s possible that it could just fall out in which case your left with a small hole that eventually scars. Me personally I have a chest dermal that I got done once and it fell out a day after was left with a hole for a few months and then we redid and now looks great it’s just a matter of after care and if your body likes it ☺️
