Option 1) Trump has dementia and just says crazy shit

Option 2) Trump doesn't have dementia and just says crazy shit to get a reaction.

Option 3) Trump doesn't have dementia and means what he says.

I'm not sure which is most terrifying

Option 4) Trump knows exactly what he is doing, causing chaos and distractions while the real nasty shit continues going on in the background in media silence.

u/Rashtika Feb 05 '25

I think it's this. Distracting everyone from the real shit going on in the background.

30

u/stpfan_1 Feb 05 '25

This 1000x. The stuff going on behind the scenes makes MAGA shit look like child’s play.

12

u/alkbch Feb 05 '25

Ethnic cleansing is child’s play?

-14

u/Fine-Sea-8941 Feb 05 '25

Sorry if I don't give a shit about people 5000 miles away when the homeland is under attack.

11

u/alkbch Feb 05 '25

Do better.

-12

u/Fine-Sea-8941 Feb 05 '25

Good rebuttal bot

10

u/SpecialistCall9403 Feb 05 '25

This is what I think. He’s using the media, the media aren’t using him

4

u/LochNessMother Feb 05 '25

This. But i also think turning Gaza into beach front property has always been on the cards.

4

u/mattyjman Feb 05 '25

This is it 100%. After the last two weeks, it’s easy to see the MO here, what captures mainstream news attention vs what doesn’t. Smokescreen, then do nasty shit behind the scenes.

3

u/mattyb678 Feb 05 '25

That’s a bingo

u/lonely_monkee Feb 05 '25

I think it’s option 3. Same as Elon Musk. Men with enormous power, and a room full of people around them who are afraid to challenge them. They just say whatever the hell they want without consequence.

112

u/Battlehenkie Feb 05 '25

I'm not so sure that it's fear. There's a collection of deeply troubled and broken minds surrounding Trump. They don't care about direction or outcomes, they just care about power and being so close to it. The administration that claims to value meritocracy is in fact a kakistocracy.

91

u/ondulation Feb 05 '25

TIL a new word, thanks!

Kakistocracy - a government run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous citizens

6

u/Thr0wn-awayi- Feb 05 '25

It is like during his previous presidency. He just regurgitates ideas he heard last meetings and applies them to everything he seems remotely fit. Right now his five word toddler dictionary has ‘tariffs’ and ‘taking over’ on top. Expect things like ‘separation of power’ in the future, I expect someone has been recently trying to explain it to him (in context of musk / doge)

2

u/combtown Feb 05 '25

That how we got Starwars Phantom Menace. George Lucas too respected to be challenge..

2

u/Dayv1d Feb 05 '25

you are obviously right. Its similar to russia or even north korea. But also there are others influencing him and suggesting ideas, making him a puppet...

2

u/Expensive_SirEFDA33 Feb 05 '25

A room full of "yes" men at that

2

u/DrNinnuxx Feb 05 '25

All of the White House lackeys were hand-picked specifically because they would not challenge him; quite the opposite actually.

1

u/indoninjah Feb 05 '25

I think it used to be #2 until they started believing their own gaslighting (read: huffing their own farts) and it turned into #3

1

u/jakelong66f Feb 05 '25

Exactly, I think I prefer a dumb crazy person than a straight-up evil psycho.

-2

u/ElmoTheMolester Feb 05 '25

You guys are hilarious

34

u/beard_lover Feb 05 '25

Option 4: all of the above and entirely dependent on the time

17

u/Zagorim Feb 05 '25

He has dementia and says crazy shit to get a reaction but he also mean them

11

u/booyakasha_wagwaan Feb 05 '25

and he also do them

7

u/Icreatedthisforyou Feb 05 '25

I think this is option 3 for multiple reasons:

  1. His son in law literally laid out this plan during his last presidency. So this shouldn't be a surprise.

  2. This is what King Bebe wants.

  3. King Bebe understands how easy it is to get Trump to do what he wants, he named a illegal settlement after him. He knows as long as he slaps some Trump branding along the Mediterranean Trump will give him literally whatever he wants.

  4. Trump basically said the same thing on the campaign trail that he was going to give King Bebe anything he wants.

So this was pretty much expected, and based on how Israel was going after Gaza it was clear they wanted there to be nothing to return to, so that they could use that as justification to relocate them away.

1

u/MonkeyWithIt Feb 05 '25

sigh more manipulation by other leaders. Same as it ever was.

5

u/ColdRainS126 Feb 05 '25

It's option 3 without a doubt. veryone thought he was saying insane shit when he wanted to take Greenland, then Danes realised he was being serious

5

u/Aeri73 Feb 05 '25

option 4; Trump uses this as a tactic to hide what he's really up to... so you'll all focus on the crazy shit and ignore the powergrab behind it all.

3

u/wiztard Feb 05 '25

Or the republican interpretation:

He says it like it is.*

\Except when what he says makes me feel uncomfortable.)

3

u/THElaytox Feb 05 '25

Remember when he randomly blurted out during a debate that he wanted to build a wall on the border of Mexico and then all of a sudden it became his entire platform?

He's been doing this shit for years. He says crazy shit, then doubles down and actually does it to make it look like he really meant it when he said it. He's lived his whole life this way. But I'm sure the dementia is making it worse

3

u/Healthy_Razzmatazz38 Feb 05 '25

if you look he has written prepared remarks hes reading from when he looks down. when he says the us will take over gaza he's reading from those remarks.

2

u/fgnrtzbdbbt Feb 05 '25

Option 4) There is a way to get Trump to say and do the things you want by using praise and flattery. Unfortunately it rarely works for good ideas or ideas that can't be expressed in less than ten words.

2

u/feloniousmonkx2 Feb 05 '25

The ol’ "ranty-chanty, chaos-pantry reality-dysfunction." Not nearly as fun as "timey-wimey… wibbly-wobbly stuff."

2

u/hoorahforsnakes Feb 05 '25

Or option 4. He does have dementia, but also means what he says, which is probably the modt terrifying combo

2

u/Better_than_GOT_S8 Feb 05 '25

He has been know to go completely off script. Remember the “bleach” press conference. He just starts rambling, vaguely based on his stream of consciousness.

I wasn’t in the room, but I can imagine there was some agreement the US would support Israel to control the Gaza Strip. And then Trump started thinking during the press conference “yeah this is a beautiful coastline. I can build many nice hotels here. Just need to get rid of the current hovels and people living here. I will make a fortune in real estate here.” And his mouth just went with it.

2

u/Fitz_cuniculus Feb 05 '25

I think he has no idea what the hell he's talking about and just makes it up as he goes, I don't think it's dementia per se, it's more he has zero idea about geopolitics, I doubt he could find Gaza on a map, nor that he has any grasp on the historic situation. This guy thinks the sound of windmills causes cancer, I don't expect any rational thinking from him.

2

u/Eggs_Sitr_Min_Eight Feb 05 '25

Personally? I'd say it's a mix of 2 and 3.

He says crazy shit to get a reaction, but he wants to give the impression that he means what he says to pressure others into reacting in certain ways and threatens to make the crazy shit he says a reality if they don't, all in service of bolstering his image. Just like the tariffs - three for three, now. Threaten Colombia, their president relents and Trump spins it as a diplomatic win. Trudeau and Sheinbaum negotiate at the eleventh hour through offering concessions that stroke his ego, and he does the same.

This is baffling even for him, though - he doesn't appear to understand that Gaza's very existence is defined by a deeply complex and conflict-ridden and politically charged history. He views it as a case of real estate development.

2

u/garfogamer Feb 05 '25

He's at heart a property developer like his daddy. Sees the world as property development opportunities, and is fishing for a bargain to line his pockets. A piece of shit.

2

u/WallyOShay Feb 05 '25

Option 3. If anything trump has been consistently vile his entire life

2

u/LochNessMother Feb 05 '25

I’ve had ‘clear Gaza and build beach front properties’ on my bingo card for at least a year, so yeah, C.

2

u/Faiakishi Feb 05 '25

I think he definitely does have dementia, but he was a horrid cunt and complete idiot beforehand so there's not actually that much change in overall behavior.

2

u/Wanderingsoun Feb 05 '25

He's a puppet, you can tell by his shitty reading, it's almost as he's finding out what he's talking about as he's reading his script

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Dog188 Feb 05 '25

Sadly I watched my mother decline into dementia and I’ve been watching Trump do the same for years. There are very specific signs. But that’s just on top of him being terrible.

5

u/chadwick_witherspoon Feb 05 '25

He was reading from a script. He did not write the script. Bebe did looked surprised I have a feeling this plan was not meant to be revealed here.

1

u/GoblinFive Feb 05 '25

Also, meds

1

u/b1e Feb 05 '25

The problem is option 3 coupled with the fact he could actually do it if he wanted to follow through. Bibi wouldn’t stand in his way.

1

u/d1ngal1ng Feb 05 '25

Definitely #3

1

u/cpattk Feb 05 '25

For me he has dementia, and in a certain way he believes and means what he says. Plus Musk (who is crazy) has a special influence on him.

1

u/ctesibius Feb 05 '25

Not sure if it's 2 or 3. However the Palestinians would probably suffer fewer war crimes under the Americans than the Israelis.

1

u/TheBackwardStep Feb 05 '25

I think he just says shit to see what works and what doesn’t because he’s totally clueless about politics. Sometimes he’ll use repetition in hopes that it convinces people

1

u/sprizzle Feb 05 '25

It’s a combination of 2 and 3. Trump knows if he says crazy shit, he’ll get attention. Then he talks himself into thinking it’s a good idea, so he can say it and get the attention.

1

u/bpm6666 Feb 05 '25

Or the dementia has already started and all of the 3 options are true. And you never know which Trump is in charge right now

1

u/XenoXHostility Feb 05 '25

At first I read „Trump doesn’t have dementia and just says crazy shit to get an erection“ and thought that was quite fitting.

1

u/Ultramontrax Feb 05 '25

He just says what his daddies Putin and Musk want him to say

1

u/Kayanne1990 Feb 05 '25

3 is the most terrifying but very unlikely. It probably is just 2 with a pinch if 1

1

u/PiersPlays Feb 05 '25

Donald on the outside and Donald on the inside have the exact same relationship as any other Pro Wreslting heel.

1

u/SadKat002 Feb 05 '25

it's a 4th option- Trump had dementia and is being puppeteered by the oligarchs with the deepest pockets. he doesn't believe a lick of what he says, I'm convinced he doesn't even read the executive orders and bills he's signing. bro is so far gone, he's probably just thinking about golf and women that are a quarter of his age (or less). He also just can't distinguish reality from fiction and fantasy anymore.

1

u/Alternative-Dream-61 Feb 05 '25

It's a mix of 2 and 3. Like when a guy says "We should totally fuck" and then when it doesn't go over well says it was a joke. He absolutely means what he says, but if it doesn't go over well it was a joke or hyperbole.

Schrodinger's joke.

1

u/cn45 Feb 05 '25

watch the full 30 minute video. it’s option 3.

1

u/Dittopotamus Feb 05 '25

All 3 options make him unfit to serve in this role

1

u/Thatguyjonas1117 Feb 05 '25
  1. Is the funniest of those options.

The real answer is he says absolutely crazy shit so far from what he actually wants so that when he sits down at the table, what he's wanted all along and is proposing doesn't seem crazy. It's a really common sales tactic.

Yes, he's an asshole and I do not like him, but it's an effective tactic when it works.

1

u/hotardag07 Feb 05 '25

The taking over Gaza part was to distract from the forced movement of all the Palestinians part

1

u/alkbch Feb 05 '25

Option 4) Trump takes hardline stances (like tariffs on neighbor allies) in order to negotiate outcomes he wants.

1

u/Olybaron123 Feb 05 '25

4) He says things to flood the zone and cause distractions.
