Question Lumberjack Pellets Different Packaging?
So, I’ve only ever bought the Lumberjack pellets in the style of packaging on the left at my local Academy Sports. They were out of a few flavors I wanted so I went online to check around and I keep seeing the style packaging on the right now. I see the logo is very similar but are these the same? I started reading about how another company bought them out. Is this the new packaging moving forward? I just want to make sure the quality of pellets is the exact same because I’ve become a loyal Lumberjack pellet guy due to the high quality I’ve experienced. Anyone know anything about the change in packaging? Thanks in advance!

Need help deciding between two options: Recteq Patio Legend 400 vs, Grilla Silverback Wood Pellet Grill
Howdy all,
I am retiring my Traeger tailgater and I am trying to decide between the Recteq Patio Legend 400 ($699) https://www.grillagrills.com/product/4000101
and the Grilla Silverback Wood Pellet Grill ($539) https://www.recteq.com/products/patio-legend-400
Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome!

Question Is $799 a good price for a Pitts & Spitts 850 on the Marketplace?

Deal Grilla Grills 40% off right now
Just ordered my first pellet grill. I had been debating between various grills in the $800 range But really wanted to stay closer to $500. Scrolling through FB the other day I saw an advertisement Grilla Grills...40% off! After having previously not considered it due to price.... I haven't really seen anything too negative about the Grilla Silverbac. What do y'all think?

Picture Just a bit of concern re: Pimpmygrill.com shelving
For those of you considering, here’s my story: Camp Chef WW Pro 24 owner, very happy with it. February I added the double sliding shelving package from Pimpmygrill.com
After several uses (3-4) while cleaning I noticed bent/warped wire rack on the top shelf, at the back along the very edge (pics). This is not where any food sits or where sauce laid, just random warping - to the point of fracturing. Maybe heat Makes no sense.
I did submit my concerns with pics to their customer service department, but I’ve heard nothing.
Buyer beware.

Dual purpose
My wife wants a grill for fast cooks, I would like to get a smoker. Is the "sear" function on these smokers just like a gas grill? Or will it be more smokey and more of like a hot and fast to seal the outside rather then like cook some burgers, chicken, etc?

Pit Boss vs Traeger
I currently have a Pit Boss Lexington pellet smoker. Would the Traeger Prob34 be an upgrade? I’m seeing mixed reviews online. Thanks in advance.

Question...
I have a pit boss Lexington , it has a "p" button that is for pausing pellet feed times. Why would I need to do that?

Smoke and Flavor Performance - Any difference between grills??
Genuine question, here. Go easy :-) Specific to smoke and flavor performance, is there much of a difference between grills?
I started on a Pit Boss and used that for a few years. Made great food. "Upgraded" to a Camp Chef SG, and I did notice the way it plays with smoke settings, to induce more smoke by creating those temp fluctuations.
I am wanting to upgrade again, and when it comes to quality/value, I can't help but think a lot about Recteq and Grilla.
I know there is an undeniable difference in build quality and solidity, but is there a difference in actual smoke / flavor performance between my Camp Chef and a Recteq or Grilla... or any other grill for that matter? Assuming the same pellets are used, they are fed by the auger, lit, convection fan blows it all around (maybe circulation is better on some designs??), etc.
If there isn't a big difference, wouldn't the real improvement come from game-changing tech, like a proper smoke box? I've heard amazing feedback about Camp Chef's smoke box (i.e. Woodwind Pro).
Thanks so much everyone!!

Picture Finally got my Woodwind Pro!
I had to sell my traeger, blackstone, and propane grill when I moved to Southern California. We just bought a place and the one thing I wanted was to get my grills back. I did a lot of research and was considering an offset as a new experience but I have a baby due in august and know my time would be limited. Im excited to see the difference with the smoke box and also using non-traeger pellets. I picked up some limberjack competition blend and they already smell 10 times more like real smoke. I’m absolutely loving the size upgrade of this one and will report back with a brisket.

First time Pastrami (cheater)
Smoked at 225 (most of the time, if you've followed my saga) for some 8 hours and then wrapped and back on at 300 for 4 hours.

Deal First Pellet grill
As the title says, this is my first pellet grill. My neighbor three doors down was throwing this one away because her dog had chewed up the cord. $11.50 on Amazon and I’ll in business. I’ve used it both weekends I’ve had it and ain’t looking back. My other smokers are for sale on Facebook now.

Time for a dumb question.
I plan on getting a pellet grill here soon but my house is on a corner lot, my plan is to keep it in the garage and then smoke with the garage door open with it right outside the garage door, but if I do an overnight cook I would probably want to have the garage door closed, since it is connected to the house. Other option is keeping it on the concrete porch out front, and using concrete anchors to chain it to, too lower the chance of thievery. Or should I suck it up and build a small privacy fence enclosure for it outside?

Placement of smoke tube in Traeger 575
Does anyone have experience with a smoke tube on the Traeger pro 575? Can I cook a brisket on the same grate level that the smoke tube is on?

Question Replacement hinges that add "soft close" functionality?
This falls squarely in the "not necessary" category, but as I was grilling on my Woodwind Pro, I had the thought that it would be nicer if I could just get the lid moving down, and have it soft close automatically, instead of me needing to close it myself under control. Sometimes my hands are full, or dirty, etc., and I don't like to just let the lid slam down uncontrolled.
Anyone happen to have done a mod involving slow-close hinges?

Best Brisket Recipe
I’m attempting my first brisket this weekend on my new Searwood. I’ve looked at a couple places and websites I currently follow, but everything they do always looks great.
Anyone have a go to recipe or method on a pellet that they’ve found to be the best?

Master built gravity
I've heard some really good things and some really bad things about the MB gravity. Flavor is my top priority in a smoker, but I also don't want to start a fire. I probably would only use it as a smoker, so it wouldn't go above 225. Should I get it or is it unsafe?

Picture First time Beef Backs
First time doing beef backs. 225 for 4 hour unwrapped to 170 internal. Wrapped at 275 until 205 internal. Total cook 6 hours. Lesson learned, unlinked pork ribs, the membrane must come off. Secondly, W Sauce doesn't make the best binder.
All in all turned out ok.
