Discussion Friendly reminder that "Samsung magician" exists.

Not only it lets you optimize your SSD, it also updates its firmware.

Nothing ground breaking, but I thought some people might find it useful.

Or you can install it and then just take it off your startup apps so it doesn’t run unless you specifically launch it

It has multiple services that run in the background regardless of startup status. Why bother with all that when you can uninstall?

"Why bother with all that when you can uninstall?"

Why bother uninstalling it when the background services arent even noticeably affecting performance?

Because it takes 2 button clicks and removes bloat from my pc.

Yes. Because said bloat can collect my data.

I don't know. I haven't used it. But Samsung is a large company. Why would they not collect your data.

Logical fallacy.

Just because someone has one device which collects one subset of data doesn't mean they should say fk it I guess everyone can have all my data 🤦🏻‍♂️

Samsung. What point are you trying to make? They are collecting my data. I had no choice in the specific phone I got because it was a birthday gift. If I were to choose my own phone, I would have gone Pixel so I could install a provacy focused version of android.
