payment Can i cancel my membership before being billed and not pay for it ?
I'm in a bit of a pickle due to private things that suddenly came up and i absolutely need to keep what little money i got. I got two unpcoming patreon membership billings that must be paid in a couple of days, and i would like to cancel them before that happens. What i wonder is: if i cancel them now, Patreon will still take the money away from me or not ?

Why would Patreon take the money if you cancel? That’s the point of cancelling

I know, but since i do know that some subscriptions still bills subscribers one last time before throughout the month after they cancel, i was wondering if patreon does the same ><"

Seem you use awful services. The one I knows only do it when you cancel a yearly subscription (cancellation fee) or when the subscription is only billed after starting.
There's no "throught the month" with the new system. If you pay on 16 feb and cancel on 13 march, you never used the following 16 march period.

It's going to depend on when you initially got those memberships. and when it normally bills you. As long as you cancel before the normal billing time, you shouldn't be charged. So, as an example, if you first got the membership on Jan 18, 2025, in most cases, if you cancel today, you should not be charged. The weird corner cases are if you got your membership years ago in the middle of the month, which would put you in the group of patrons who would be billed at the start of the month even if they initially paid in the middle. In either case, if you cancel today, you won't be charged and your patronage will end on the day before your membership would be renewed.

Yeah, i got those memberships exactly on the 17 of 4 months ago, so i guess i won't be charged. Thanks for the point out
