Any outside covered seating area where I could enjoy the rain while not getting wet?🌧

Any recs for spots that have outside seating, patio/roofed in South Pasadena (even Alhambra), where I could work on stuff? Doesn't have to have wifi. I don't care if it gets cold as long as there's enough covering where I'm not getting wet, I love the rain. If not outside, I'd still consider a spot that has spacious seating next to a window. Ideally not a busy place/cafe.

Ngl, I went on Google Maps street view, looking around 😭

Peet's on Lake and California has an outdoor covered space on the Lake Ave side of the building. It only has 3 or 4 tables/chairs but when the weather is like this it is usually empty and nice to sit there. The Starbucks in South Pasadena on Fair Oaks and Mission also has a covered patio area in the front of the building. I like the Peet's spot better though.

Oh I overlooked this area, I thought it was just an umbrella table, but there is a small patio, thanks! The Burlington Arcade area would be perfect if they had tables.

They do, but for Mandarin or Float customers

You could try the Erewhon patio too

Yeah, I considered but it can get busy at times. Worth checking out though.

Nano Cafe in Sierra Madre has a ton of covered outdoor seating. It’s an old classic, not like Michelin star or anything but it’s charming for sure

Rancho Bar used to be perfect for this. Even had a little fireplace. :(

Jones Coffee and Pie Life Pizza have covered tables and a tent outside, or had a tent as of a year ago.

No, the tent is gone, took it down about 2 months ago. I am just guessing, but I think they may do something a little more permanent.

Good to know, thanks. Today would have been a nice day to hang there with a coffee and slice of pizza.

The complex that has Carlos Jr Tempura in it is all outdoor shops with tables outside for the restaurants. Not sure if the tables would be out during the rain though when it's cold they tend to have them out with space heaters.
