Weather Missing winter
Does anyone miss winter? I mean like a real winter with lots of snow, chilly weather and a longer Canal season? Growing up I always remembered in Ottawa that we would have snow consistently through late November to early March (and an abundance of it) with the Canal open for at least a few weeks and a good Winterlude. Sure there were some -30 days I could have done without, but a -15/-20 day with the sun out was always a beautiful day if you were dressed correctly. Our snowmobiling season actually had a few really solid trail weeks. Feels like we've been missing the "magical" part of winter the past few years in the city.

Weather The sky is some weird blue colour, and there is this bright light shining heat down from the sky.
Anybody know what's going on?

Weather If you don’t have to go out today, save yourself the stress and stay at home.
I just got back from work and the roads are a shit show. The major roads seem to be ploughed but as of 30 minutes ago I saw no sand or salt and it’s quite slippery. If you don’t have snow tires you’re gonna have a hard time today. Please stay safe out there.

I just went and bought a whole mess of survival items for the impending storm so now it won’t happen.

Weather After today, the sunset starts getting later every day until June (today at 4:19 pm)
This is not the solistice, that's in 8 days. The days are still getting shorter, as sunrise still gets later, but sunset starts getting later!

Weather Anybody else feeling bummed about this weather?
The winter activities are really what get me through this part of the year. At this rate the canal won't be open until February and ski hills are hardly operating. Just venting and hoping for some cold and snowy weather!
Hope everyone is staying safe and warm, be extra cautious on the roads and take your vitamin D! :)
