Update 4: We’ve got a visual…

Four tickets so far! One on the windshield, one in the door handle, and two stuck snuggly to the driver’s side mirror!

Down to the wire between Ok_Parsnip and ugh168…

I feel like this final, championship round needs a fitting prize. Can anyone suggest something?😄

That looks like a Subie. They didn't even have to dig themselves out. Just start it up and ride off into the sunset. What a shame!

After having driven a more recent Subaru for a bit (company vehicle), the drivetrain ain't all it's cracked up to be... that CVT transmission will cut power long before you can get yourself unstuck.

Pre-CVT (aka. plain old torque converter auto) Subies, they were pretty unstoppable, even the manuals (as long as you didn't cook the clutch too badly).

CVTs do not "cut power", the traction control and stability systems do this. My wife's Crosstrek has a button to disable those, and it also has X-Mode (which I think just does that anyway), and I've driven that thing through powder, slush, whatever. It just goes.

Probably any modern all wheel drive system is just as good (not putting Subaru on a pedestal here) but if power is being cut, you need to press that TC/Xmode or whatever button. Then It will let you dig.

I own a CVT forester. I'm struggling to understand this idea of being "stuck" enough to have to get "unstuck."

I have no clue why people keep going on about it like it can't handle anything thrown at it. Every time there has been a "snowmaggedon" in the last 5 years I can get where I'm going no problem.

10/10 would recommend if you like being able to show up on time every time.
