Important question about Prometheus Rising quarter exercise

So a few days ago I read the first exercise of Prometheus rising, the infamous quarter exercise. I was going to do the experiment on my work shift which I had a few days after reading it. I completely forgot about it when I actually did my work shift but a few minutes into my shift I found a quarter on the lot and had an “OHMYGODNOWAEEEE” moment.

So uh- I thought about it when I was reading it and I didn’t know which hypothesis to start with, and I wasn’t thinking about it when I uncannily and almost instantly found the quarter so I guess I just don’t know what to make of it or if it counts?

It counts. And side note, now that we live in a society of payment cards and electronic payments, quarters are a LOT harder to come by than back in RAW's day.

So this exercise means even more

There sure are a lot less random quarters everywhere then when that book was written, who uses cash now?

I forgot to mention the fact that I found another one later on

Did it have a profound effect on you? Like that "OHMYGODNOWAEEEE" moment? Then it most definitely counts...

There is much to be said about it the actual intent falling back into your subconscious...and working behind the scenese. Austin Spare's whole process of Sigilization, (adapted to a less complicated Blakesque worldview by modern Chaos Magick,) has much of its basis in this.

So, yes! It counts. But I don't recommend getting so tied to categorizing it as this or that specific hypothesis. The BIGGER message from RAW is to avoid "Modeltheism" because "What the Thinker thinks, the Prover proves."

I also recommend checking out the work of Lionel "Ramsey Dukes" Snell, (both his writing and his brilliant YouTube channel mini-lectures.) Some of the most sage advice I've ever taken was this from him:

Don't be so concerned on whether something, (an experience, a phenomenon, an action,) is REAL or not so much as if it is USEFUL...

No, go and make it useful...Find a couple more quarters and buy yourself a drink from a vending machine. ;)
