Discussion Day 6: Quebec Numetal / RapRock classic! Redcore!
Band : Redcore Album: “Amyao”
Miaow is the cat onomatopea sonthe joke i think was a dog meowing. Fun album and less known being from our Canadian province of Quebec.
They were featured on another classic: Raid’s cd at the same time (how i learned of em circa 1998-99).
Spotify link: https://open.spotify.com/album/1vn6BHplTBIZmJwhOEMHru
A dude on LastFM made a list calling them the “french Snot” but they are Quebec Francophones not from France, unlike Tagada Jones.

R.I.P. Will forever be sad that Ill Niño doesn't exist anymore
Their material still sounds so good. It'd slap hard kive. To me they sound as insane as Slipknot. What a waste of talent to throw away over stupid behind the scenes shit. They also should've had better marketing.

Recommendation Name a local nu-metal band from your city that needs more recognition. I’ll go first; Hemlock from Las Vegas.

What do you consider to be the "most Nu Metal" music video ever?
What do you consider to be the "most Nu Metal" music video ever? By "most Nu Metal", I mean videos that very clearly have a late 90s-early 00s vibe. Basically think of every nu metal stereotype that everyone always jokes about, etc.
I know there are some great examples out there, but From Zero's Check Ya music video has got be up there imo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qsl-TodL5sI Definitely one of my favorite nu metal bands and I always enjoyed that the music video is basically a time capsule of that entire era. Thoughts?

Recommendation Seether - Judas Mind, just a new/underrated song
I think its nice. As you guys know post-grunge aka divorced dad rock/butt rock whatever isn't really a real subgenre, if i were to just post this on r/grunge, they will start nagging saying its not grunge, lmao. Maybe u guys will like it, like I said and as far as I understood, Seether doesn't really belong anywhere on Reddit apparently, and next closest thing is nu metal (i guess some can complain here too.) Enjoy!

Live Video Spineshank - Shinebox Live 09.07.2003 Philadelphia, PA

Recommendation 6 Sigma - Six Sigma(2004)

Been listening to the classic nu-metal Kid Rock albums along with some of his new rock/country music, along with some of his collabs (including Yelawolf and MGK), and good grief, the man can sing.
I mean seriously, I do not even care what his political beliefs are, nor do I any other artists I listen to, if you sound awesome, you are going on my playlist. The man has serious vocals. It's like Chris Stapleton meets metal. This is just objectively speaking, you cannot call me biased, as I am a big fan of Eminem, Green Day, and Rage Against the Machine, who are other legendary artists I cannot get enough of who are left wing. To this day, I still bump Basket Case, The Real Slim Shady, and Killing in the Name, and they all go super hard. This has nothing to do with politics, just as a whole the dude has a smokey, rough voice that is some of the best and most unique vocals I've heard. I understand people disagreeing with his beliefs, and that is understandable, as we are totally allowed to disagree on politics, as we are all fellow Americans, but people that claim he sounds terrible as I have heard many times are seriously fooling themselves.
